My fiance bought a blackberry storm for both of us. I wonder how it is different from the iphone as they kind of look similar at first glance. Does anyone know which one is better?

I really don't know anything about either one. I have seen both, but never used them. My son has the blackberry storm, and he uses it for his painting business. It is a nice phone, for sure. My daughter has used the iphone, but doesn't own one. She says that it has a lot of apps on it. I think you can do more with the iphone than you can with the blackberry, but there again, I dnn't know all that much to even give an opinion. Since you have the blackberry storm, it will probably work fro you for what you will be doing with it. I think you do have a nice phone nonetheless. Take care and happy myloting.

I had thought about getting a storm with the current buy one get one free promotion that Verizon has going. I talked with several friends who all report that the storm "freezes up" and you have to take the battery out to reboot the phone. Apparently this happens several times a week to as often as daily for the heavier phone users. I talked to a Verizon representative who confirmed they had a lot of complaints about the freezing up but had no resolution to the issue. I have a blitz - do not like it at all but stuck with it now for another year. It frequently butt dials and turns on and kills the battery - even in the holster. So I wouldn't recommend it. I don't have a "smartphone". I just don't have that much need for those set of services.

I personally don't like either phones. I'm not a big fan of touch screen phones to begin with but I've used iphone, both version with 3g & without it, & didn't like it at all. I just didn't like the way it felt & some of the functions were not for me. Blackberry storm has been getting a lot of complaints & I know one girl I work with has same problems. I hear blackberry curve 8900 is a really good phone.
