If my phone has been broken i will throw it away, however if there is nothing wrong with it then i will give it to one of my children. There are alot of places now where you can send a phone and get paid for them. What do you do with yours?

They are stored under the bed until I can find someone to take them. Or until they become antiques and I can take them to the road show, no I won' last that long. Thanks

I have not got an opportunity like this. Because I still own my first bought cellphone. I never had any problem with the cellphone for the past 4 years. And so I have not got a need to replace it. I'm planning to buy a new one in the next few months..May be then I have to think of doing something with my cellphone.

My old phone was now broken, because of Typhoon Ondoy(international name Parma), so I went to phone shop to repair. Luckily it was repaired quickly. My very first phone as far as I rememberI sold it for a second hand phone shop because I needed money during that time. And some of my phone after that I sold it too in exchange with more upgraded unit of phone. And now I am using my 1 year old phone that I got free from a credit card.

i gave my old phone to my sister and to my cousins, when i bought my new phone. im very careful with my phone that's why most of it still looks new. I give them away instead of pawning or selling it... others still can use it. :)

The last personal cellphone I had , I sold to an old friend. Now my husband and I have our own cellphone. Before I've given another cellphone to another old friend, and then there's one cellphone I just don't know what happened to it... Another I gave to my nephew who used it to play, well actually I think it got thrown away.

My local library usually has cell phone donation program. I keep one for a back up & I donate the rest of old cell phones.

I actually sent my old phone to a service center in order for me to still use it. Now that it is already okay, I uses it for my Sun Cellular sim. It is actually a mobile phone network here in the Philippines that provides cheaper call via their same network. So as of now, I am already happy talking 24/7 with my buddies all over the land with my old phone that comes in a new sim.

I have kept all my old phones, and not sure why either, but I just never could figure out what to do with them. I suppose I should have recycled them, but I didn't. I ma now with Verizon wireless, and all my ohter phones are from t-mobile. They aren't broken or anything, so I just never ever did anything about getting rid of them. I guess you could say, I am a cell phone collector. They are really old phones, and no one would want them, so I just kept them. Take care and happy mylotting.

I won't throw it away if my old phone has been broken. In fact, there are a lot of charities which will accept working cell phones that you no longer need. Otherwise, you can probably take it to your city's recycling depot and put it with the other recycled electronics. You see, throwing your old cell phone to the garbage is very bad for the planet and will pollute the environment. If there are some proper services, I may switch the old one to a new phone with some extra money costs.

I give mine (complete with charger) to the local shelter for battered women. They hand them out to women who have to go to work or run errands. It gives the women access to 911 if they need it and it enables the center to contact them if they have not returned when expected. It is all about providing some protection for these women. By the way, if you decide to do this and you are male, get your wife or girlfriend or sister to call the center and bring them the phone. If you are male and you call they will not even tell you where they are located. And they are correct to handle things that way.
