Do You Write Your Blog In English?

Well, the first time i want to write blog, i don't simply know that blog can earn you money. I simply just want to share what i know with the world. And since i like writing much, i then decide to write a blog. What i don't know is, blog can earn you money. Especially if you write it in English. But it is kinda too late since i got about tons of article and i kinda lazy to convert them to English.
Now, i just stick with using Indonesian as my blog language, and because of that, i cannot get a google adsense and there are rarely international viewer at my blog. And i also don't get too much money from my visitor since usually most adds pay more for international member ( especially those from USA and Europe ).
Anyway, how about you? Do you write your blog in English? If yes, then why? If not then why?

i do write my blogs in only one langauage, English though I'm not a native English speaker. English is commonly understood by many people all over the world. For those who wish their blogs to be read by many people from the different parts of the world, One should write their blogs in English, if not, there must be an English translation.

Well yes, If you want to share it with other people all around the world, then English is your must use language. But i don't really agree with the translator since it doesn't translate sentence correctly sometime so the sentence actually loose it's meaning. Thanks

I am AMerican so of course I write my blog in English. The strnage thing about blogger though is sometimes I will find my titles coming out in other languages. I think it was sanskrit. It was an issue that kept happening with my blog, because it seems to be corrected now because lately it seems to have only printed in English.

Well good for you, for those whose main language is not english. It is actually kinda be a dilemma since with writing in English we will have a more quality traffic. But, for us, writing in English is really are a lot of effort, especially for people like me whose English skill is not really good. Anyway thanks for responding to this discussion.

Well good for you, anyway can you be more detail? Is English is your primary language. If English is not your primary language, did you ever have a hard time writing blog article in English. How good you are with English skill. Thanks for responding my discussion.

I am from India and my primary language is Bengali. I am not superb in English but am quite strong. It is a good thing mylot does not insist on correct grammar and proper english, otherwise it would have been extremely difficult for us to earn here. Happy mylotting.

Yes, if mylot do that, most of people that not use English as their primary language will have a hard time in mylot. Even people who has English as their primary language will also have some difficulty since it is also take effort to write thing with the right grammar and proper English always. O i see, but what is your primary language. I kinda hard to express my feeling with english since i am not really understand about most English Grammar. I just know a lot of vocabulary but lack the knowledge of using them in the sentence. So if you found that my writing is hard to understand in my lot, i want to forgive you because my lack of skill in English.

If your blog resides in a domain that you own as well as its hosting, and if you happen to use wordpress I think there's a multilingual plugin for that or wordpress theme that can convert your articles to different languanges.

Yes, I comment on this not for your "universal solution"
In my opinion, just let your articles be and write english entries from now on.
And if you have time, make a translated entries one at a time with link backs from the original articles.
Don't let it stop you and eat your time.
Just my two cents, why cry over a spilled me? Just go get new one in the frigde :)

Yes, i already use that kind of plug in. The result of that translator is really bad. Some of it make my writing loose it's original meaning. So people who read the translation version will not understand what i am writing about. But well, thanks for share this information with us.

Well yes, maybe i tried to write a few English article if i have the time. Well, i just sometime found it is hard to express my feeling in English and sometime writing something in Your Own Language than turn it into english will make many thing loose it is meaning. It is lost in translation. Thanks

Oh well basicly i write blog in english with some my friends because just for hobby. I dont know actually internet can make money before i broke. But anyway i still blogging for fun and still not for money. My opinion is better u write ur blog acoording to language that u comfortable most. My english not soo good that why i trying started blog in malay language with only myself not as team. Oh well so u indonesian and i malaysian ^^

Yes, it is better to write something with you own language since you usually more comfortable with it. But actually, the consequence is that you cannot share your though with other people that not use your own language as their primary language. So using English is a must if you want to go international. But if you just want to make blog for fun, and most of your topic is also local, then local language is the way to go. Anyway i also enjoy writing in my own language.

i just write my blog in English in mylot.because my mother togue is not English and i earn less too in mylot ,and i don't think it can make me very rice in this blog.i just want to pritice my English,because,it just pritice make perfects

I had some blogs on different sites but I'm not writing blog in English. World press is best for blog writing another on is blog sport.

Well, so you must be write you blog in your own language. And yes, i agree about wordpress and blogspot as the best place for writing blog, if you looking a free site to make a blog. But it is actually more fun to create your blog from your own hosting since you can do what ever you want with them. Also Wordpres.com will not allow you to make money from your blog, so it is kinda sad. That's why, i quit wordpress.com and start my own blog. But i still wordpress cms as my blog. Sometimes I do write in english and post it to my blog but then due to so many stoties about my lil girl that makes me difficult to translate it in english, I made it in malay only.
Depending on my mood, depending on what I wanna share with other blogger and I dont care much who will read my post and my blog as long as I love writing on it. My rule is so simple, if someone do like my stoties and writing, they will read and stay but they can always go if not agree with me..no force..
Coz that is my blog...

Well good for you. Yes, some time i kinda forget that the first reason i write blog is for hobby, for having fun, and for relieving stress. But now, since i think i kinda understand how traffic work, how adds work, i started to think about those kind of staff and start making me not writing something that i think will not get a decent traffic. Well, thanks for reminding me this. I hope you get fun while writing and still get a lot of traffic.

I'm a blogger and I blog using blogspot, I also write it in English even though it's not my mother language. I'm a filipino. I think, for me.. If you write your blog in English, You'll be able to express your feelings with your non-filipino friends. I've got lots of non-filipino friends since I love making new friends to other races, it's really fun! But sometimes, there are words that I want to express but I can't get a right word in english for it. It makes me sad but... I guess I'll just have to do my best! :3

Yes, for those who usually express himself / herself in english, it is kinda hard to express your self in English. That also why i am not writing my blog in english. But anyway, congratulation for you to make an English language blog. I also have a lot of friend that are non indonesian. Thanks.
