As promised, my husband and I will make several discussions about some of the photos. This one right here is of the church, this was actually taken the Monday after. We had accidentally taken the church's tablecloths, and we noticed that their was something wrong with our copy and his parent's copy of the sound of the wedding. It was just a c.d. In any case, this is the church we got married at, it's the entrance way everyone was going into. It's a christian church. So what do you think of this?

I think it is very pretty! Our church started getting requests for weddings, so for a while my dad (he's the pastor) had someone handling that kind of thing. It's such a beautiful church. He put a lot of work into it. He knows how to get great deals, and he and some of his friends built it themselves. But my dad couldn't put the steeple up. Someone else had to do that! At the church I grew up in,when I was six, my dad had my sister and I on the roof of the church because he was helping a guy fix the steeple. My mom saw us and about had a heart attack. I was six and my sister was eight. My dad never did baby us, so I guess he thought that wasn't a big deal.

He did eventually. hee hee You said when your husband moves up. I hope you don't mean that that church doesn't make you feel welcome for some reason.

Oh no Ambie, when my husband got hired on he asked for sunday's off but they said they needed him on Sunday's and that maybe in a few weeks he could get them off. Well he gets more sunday's off lately, but he's never had every sunday off. So what I meant was, once he gets into a position where he an request sunday's off and actually get them, we can go to church.

Yes, I do love that church. My husband and I plan to go there one day, but we don't go to church right now. Maybe once he can move up in his career we can go to church, though I know that's not an excuse. I am sure your mother must have been very concerned, but I suppose the two of you were alright. Did she have your father bring you and your sister down to her?

It is a really nice church and I am glad we got a picture of it so all the mylotters can see where we entered, and we are actually considering going to church there,so that is where we will enter if we do start going to church there, and I think it would be a good church for our kids to go too,and the pastor is the nicest man,and he is the type that would help you in anyway he can,I love you.

Yes, I was going to say that we are thinking of going to church there, and he is a very nice pastor, I really enjoyed having counseling with him! I want our kids to go to that church as well, especially since people who you went to church with at another church may be going to this one now, and it'd be nice to reconnect with them. Love you.

Yeah it would be nice to reconnect with some of the people from my old church and it seems like it would be a great environment for children,I love you.

Hi Amber, I'm not meaning to sound critical here but that looks nothing like a church, is that how many of them look in the US? Although I don't attend them the ones here are certainly worth popping inside as quite remarkable in their style. You know how I struggle to put pictures on so I can't put one on here for you but the Greek orthodox churches are ornate both inside and out, from the tiniest ones to the large ones and could never be mistaken as anything else. Very dramatic with candles burning and bells in the belfries and a freindly Pappas in long black garments and a nice hat. Lots of people get married at the local demos now instead which comprises a tiny room normally used for people to pay their water rates in and a bit of a squash to get more than two people in, absolutely nothing ornate about those.

Christian Churches seem to be more simple where as Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches are more extravagant. My husband and his mother know the woman to whom helped pay for the building of this church, it's simple but sturdy, and it's made beautiful by the simple artwork inside that is done for the enjoyment of the children. There isn't a greek orthodox church in our small county, but there is one in the next county over, I've looked online at pictures of a greek orthodox church, and though they were old photos, they did look quite remarkable.
