Hi dear Mylotters, have you ever made a call to any of your Mylot friends or any online friends whom you dont know before or directly? I think, its a not safe to reveal our personal identities in net. And respond to others who gave their id to you.Do you think so?

Hmnn,i though you are giving your phone number and wants mylotters to call you. Well, that depends...i met a lot of friends thru internet. Actually,i had few close friends whom i met thru net,and one of them(a family)an indian family i met from one social site and now,we are close friends too. It's been more than 2 years of friendship, and all started here on the internet. So,it is just a matter of trust, how we trust people/person,or how we feel towards one person from the other. We should be careful of course, and i am thankful that,i never had any bad experience of meeting and trusting people here on the net.

Hi abhai, ha ha.. first I read the heading and thought that you are giving your phone number publicly and curiously open the topic. People we are meeting in net are from the real world and both good and bad people are there. If we met the good friends then we can get in touch with them directly. I have some good friends in mylot and mostly I prefer female friends. It is upto us to understand the people well and act accordingly.

Hi Sreekala, oh.no. You too thought the same?ah... I just put such a heading to catch attention of people. Now i think, its not suiting for this discussion. Yeah, there are good and bad people and we can't judge a person whom we meet online.

I thought what happened to you when I saw the subject of this discussion. I think you have given your phone number and aksing people to make calls to you. I would have thought you were crazy if you would have given your contact details. Everybody works with social networking site use an invisible mask and they usually don't want to come out of those maks to help themselves from not getting into troubles.

hi abhaijith, well I gave my phone number to a friend on here, the blue bunny, the other week, as we were pm ing back and forth between posting, as we do, and she had free phone calls over the weekend, so she suggested should we talk in person so we did, and got on marvellously well too I must say. Since then she's called again when the free calls have come round and it's been fun chatting.

If we tgrust, and are trust worthy, then there is no harm in exchanging personal datas.I have called two of my my lot friends and I even met them personally, but they are not my referals.

Well I guess it depends on the person that your exchanging personal information with. If you feel like the person is worth trusting with then why not, right?

Yeah, I can't agree with you anymore. As you have said above, it is really not safe to reveal our personal identities on the Internet. There are lots of painful lessons tell us that it may lead to some serious troubles if we reveal our personal information without any security measures. Likewise, we shouldn't respond to others who give their ID to us in case of any scams. We really should be careful when we make friends online.
