I have left my water running in the tub and accidently forgot about it. I remeber that the phone rang and I went answer it and I talk for a good while. I was so distracted that I forgot about the water running. When I walked past the bathroom after hanging up the phone the water was practically over flowing. We have carpet in our bathroom so you can only imagine what was going on through my mind. I hurried and shut it off. I had to drain some water out so I could take a bath. I will be more careful now when I am filling up the bathtub. I will try not to get so side track. If I had let that water over flow it could have ruined my carpet and the wood floor underneath. It would have Been a disaster and costly to fix.

Bathtub - Bathroom necessity
Oh dear you are not alone in this kind of situation. I am also very forgetful and have not only once but for several times left the water running in the tub so that the whole bathroom and bedroom would flood. I hated myself several times for being so forgetful and have promised several times never but it kept happening. To avoid that I am not leaving the bathroom anymore when I need to fill the tub.

I have never done that with the tub but I have done it with the sink. I was trying to fill something up and walked off to do something else while it filled up and then forgot that I had, had the water running. One time my dad was fixing my toilet in the upstairs bathroom and he realized he was missing a piece and went to the hardware store, but the water was running in the toilet and it all ran over on to the bathroom floor, and soaked throught he carpet and the floor and leaked in to the cieling in my kitchen. My brother in law had to come in and re-do the dry wall our kitchen ceiling it was really terrible, and to make matters even worse that stupid toilet still does'nt work that well.
