I have two artist friends. They are very good in drawing and use papers and colors to draw traditionally. As to update they have learned computer applications and draw a lot in photoshop and Flash also. Sometimes they say that it is easier to draw in paper than in computers even there are lots of commands and tools. I feel they are true.. Sometimes I try to draw in photoshop and Flash also and the results are not bad at all. So what about you? Have you ever tried to draw anything in computer. Please share with us if you had saved your paintbrush pictures also.

I do both. If I think of an idea for a design, I quite often do a quick sketch on paper, but I do use the computer mostly. I have Coreldraw, which I've been using for years now, and find that brilliant, it is so much quicker than drawing on paper, plus you can try lots of different ideas out very easily.

Hello Katsalot Its a wonderful idea to put the idea on paper and draw the final one in computer. It saves a lot of time indeed. And I know CorelDraw is one of the best Vector Graphics applications. It is very easy to use and lots of shortcuts are there which makes life so easy. I have seen people using Softwares of the same category like Illustrator also. Thanks for your response.

Heh, I actually tried drawing out my designs on paper and putting them on the computer in my Graphic Design class. I hated it! Well, I hated the entire class actually. But I loved working with vector objects. I had actually made a pretty good Vector picture of myself, so I suppose I learned something.

I'm a big computer person but I just can't understand photoshop. I'm usually a really quick learner when it comes to stuff like that but I downloaded the trial version of PS and gave up within 2 days. I even read some tutorials and found that none of them were easy for me to follow. I'm thinking of taking a class though, website design is a big interest of mine.

According to my knowledge, Photoshop is not easy for beginners but its very interesting to anyone. Once you learn the tools well after practicing a bit, you will definitely find it easier. There are very few softwares which can even compete Photoshop in its category. All the best

I LOVE to sketch on paper with charcoal or a pencil. I hate to use computer applications, because all my lines end up looking shaky and not smooth. I must prefer sketching with paper, since I can sketch in different shades. It just ends up looking more professional. I don't think I've quite gotten used to computer applications yet.. and I probably never will.

Glad to know that you love arts. I think drawing on paper is tough and it takes much proficiency. But the designing softwares helps a lot, say, when you need to digitize your works. You need to scan them, and you must have to clean them a little bit very delicately in Photoshop or other similar softwares.
