Okay so we have all come across those buttons, or levers that we're not supposed to touch, whether we come across them ourselves,or whether we just see it on television, my wife and I were coming home from Wal Mart not too long ago when we heard a segment on a local radio station, the segment was about pushing the wrong button, well this one guy called in and said, well it wasn't a button but a lever, and he made the mistake of pulling it because he was trying to fix something he broke, and needed to flip this lever so that he could... there was a lot of air coming out, so the lever was to turn off said air, he worked at a bread factory or something, well the whole plant ran on air, so when he pulled that lever? Yep the whole plant went off, guess how much that cost the plant? $75,000 but he got to keep his job, they came in yelling because everything went down, but he quickly fixed the problem, boy was he lucky, so to make this a discussion and spread the fun, is there anything that you have pressed at work that you were not supposed to or pressed on accident, and what happened? Did you get fired? Or were you fined? I am surprised the guy was not fined, but he did not mention anything about it,this is a serious discussion, so please read through all of it and respond in kind,Happy Mylotting, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and have a great day.

Yes, I decided I'd let you write this discussion since you think I write to many discussions. In any case, this hasn't ever happened to me but I thought it'd be a nice discussion to start. I am really surprised he didn't get fined, but I guess they saw it as what it was, a mistake. I wonder if this wasn't before the recession, because if it were to have happened during then I think he'd of surely been fined if nothing else.

I think that wal*mart would most likely do that for anyone really, I mean fire them because they pressed a wrong button, especially if it caused a lot of cost in damage. I was going to say you don't have to worry about that because you don't use buttons, but you control the cart mule by pressing a button, and you also use a walkie talkie. In any case, I think that the next time the cart mule breaks down you should suggest the whole rope deal, and maybe have one pull, and one push so that the one pulling doesn't hurt their back.

Yeah Wal Mart is in it for the money, and the rope deal is real nice but Wal Mart would probably make it harder than it needs to be,since they like to do that, and sometimes I want to get rid of the walkie talkie especially since some of them are pieces of crap, I love you.

Wow, that is an awfully expensive "Ooops!"! I am really surprised that he didn't get fired for it. I don't remember ever doing anything like that. In school, though, someone dared me to pull the fire alarm once. I didn't do it, but one of my friends did. They got into a LOT of trouble, especially since the one that dared him to do it gave him up immediately rather than get in trouble himself. The one that pulled the alarm got out of school suspension, the one that dared him to do it got in-school suspension, and everybody in the entire school had to attend a seminar about why it was bad to pull a fire alarm when there was not a fire. As far as I know, nobody has ever done that again in that school.

Lol that is a very funny story, and it teaches you you should never take a dare because you will get in trouble,I am glad that you were not the one foolish enough to pull the alarm and I can honestly say I was always too afraid to pull the fire alarm because I did not want to get in trouble,Thanks for responding.
