When I first got DSL for the internet connection at home, I had to get a phone line. So I do have landline but I barely use it at all. For 4 - 5 years I had it, I think I used the landline may be twice. My daughter gets a call on landline once in a while from her friends.

I still use a landline phone for when I am home. It is still good to have a landline phone in case something happens to your cell phone. I sometimes if I am gonna be out for a while, I will forward all my landline phone calls to my cell phone.

Hi amit I still use landline phone and it is my favourite too. I too have mobile but because of signal problems, I feel it very difficult to converse. Everytime, i need to go outside my house where I will get reasonable signals. If it is raining, I can't respond to any calls. But in landline, the voice is very clear and no signal problems. Even in heavy rain, I can talk without interruption

Landline still the best option to use if you wanted to talk to someone over the phone for long periods of time. I remember talking of about two hours over it and doesn't affect the bills. In long distances, I also prefer to use the landine to contact other people. Although cell phones are now more popular than landlines, still its one of the best technology we have today. Have it though when I'm still a kid and still alive and kicking until this date.

I know cell phones are very popular nowadays and it seems like everyone has one and some people have more than one and they are always talking on them even when they are supposed to be driving or paying attention to other things that are important, and me and my wife have both a landline that we use when we at home to call people or so people can call us and we have a cell phone which we take wherever we go mostly for safety or in case there is an emergency, and when I go to work I take the cell phone and I will call my wife on the landline when I am on lunch, and talk to her for an hour until I have to clock back in and go back to work.

We moved into our home seven months ago and we've only had a cellular phone since we've been over here. We noticed when we lived in my mother's house that the home phone was very rarely used and thus decided that in order to save a little bit of money in our own home we would live with our cellular phones and not worry about having a landline. Ours has free wireless to wireless calls all the time and free nights and weekends as well so we never run out of minutes. Everyone that we want to talk to is on the same network so that isn't a problem and anyone else that I'd like to talk to can wait until after seven in the evening.

We still have landline phone at home, landline phone is still the cheapest way and best option when making calls specially local calls. There are pros and cons in using a landline or mobile phone but it's quite noticeable that almost everybody has a mobile phone but not everybody has a landline phone.

I only use a landline for work but that's about it. To be honest, I've been living with my roommate since May and I still don't know the number to the condo. I use my cell for everything and I usually text not call.
