I do very well. I had just married at 16 & we went to chicago to visit my in-laws. I don't guess they had pizza in Tennessee back then, i sure had never heard of it. My bil& sil oredered one while we were at their house & i absolutely thought it was the best thing i had ever eaten, I still love them to this day. Wish they weren't so stinking expensive. Do u remember your first pizza??

When we were kids my grandma used to make the frozen pizza. If you ever had one of them you would know thats not real pizza. It only gives a hint of a real pizza. I love them too. I cant remember my first time eating a real pizza. I believe a boy friend when i was like 16yr. I make my own pizza now. I have heartburn from the tomato sauce they use. Some places act like they have never heard of pizza with out the tomato sauce. There are a few that that make it your way. But you are right about the price. Thats one of the reasons i started making my own. I can put anything i like on it. Instead of tomato sauce you can use alfredo sauce or ranch dressing.

I never have heard of using Ranch Dressing instead of Tomato Sauce on pizza. I bet it's good, though. Kathy.

No, I sure don't. I do remember that on Saturday mornings my dad would take us out of the house so mom could sleep. We would go shopping (usually records for dad - shhh don't tell mom) and then we'd go to Shakey's for pizza.

I don't remember exactly when it was the first time I ate pizza. I know as a family we would go during the summer time once a week to a pizza restaurant for dinner, the whole gang there was 7 of us. However I would not really like the pizza because of the cheese. I know whats pizza without cheese. Anyway it wasn't till I was pregnant with my first child that I ended with a craving for pizza. I was having 2 slices every other day. They knew my order as soon as I walked into the restaurant. I couldn't believe how much I wanted pizza. Now my daughters both have grown up and love pizza as for me I'm back to light on the cheese and I rather have it with pepperoni. Hmmm Hmmm good!

Hiya Antiquelady...I can't remember my very first pizza being my grandma always made them from scratch for as long as I could possibly remember. I'm thinking it was when I was 2 or 3yrs. old or maybe younger. All I know is I sure do miss them. She made the crust 2 in. thick and super soft, loaded with home made sauce, diced tomatoes, onions, and mozzarella cheese. There could of been more toppings but that's all I remember. lol

Forgot to add...even though we do eat take-out pizza, I still make them from scratch but the will never compete with grandma's. The best take-out I would have to say came from oh hell...I forgot it's been that long. Crap! Well, it was really good and I had it at a famous pizza place in Chicago, IL. Heaven is the only word I can use to describe the taste and texture of that pizza.

What I miss most is opening my one grandma's garage door by hand and the heavenly smells hit me from her kitchen when she was cooking, which was constantly. Gotta love Italian cooks. To this day, if I close my eyes, I can still smell those wonderful smells. Been almost 12 yrs. now. Thanks for the BR, ANTIQUELADY!

I am a big fan of eating, and I know sometimes I eat more than I should and me and my wife are on a diet right now, which is sometimes hard to stick to,and pizza is my favorite food and I can never get enough of it,and if I could eat it every meal of everyday I would be in heaven because nothing is better than pizza, and I am not sure when the first time I ate pizza was but I know it had to be when I was little because it has always been my favorite food, and I remember my mom bringing pizza from Little Caesars to my school on my birthdays when I was in elementary school.

No I really do not remember when I first had a pizza. It wasn't there whilst I was growing up in the U.K. I honestly have no idea. But I had a wonderful pizza yesterday. I was in our city for the weekend attending a conference and coming back yesterday I need to use a restroom and where I stopped I could smell pizza's. So I gave in t temptation and had the most wonderful pizza with italian sausage and pepperoni on it. Really good. I so enjoyed it.

i do remember my first bite of a pizza. of course i was still very young and pizzas in the philippines were provided only then by franchise fast foods that are american based. of course with the short span of my life then on earth this "taste" is new and naturally, my young filipino pallette didn't appreciate it. i was thinking if this is the hype they're parting with on tv then the tv was lying. i got older and got exposed to a lot of tastes and got to appreciate the kind of dough used by pizza hut and since then even with the foreign mix of toppings on my pizza hut i don't care. it's the dough, dough, dough. they do make it fresh everyday, right .

Hi there dear Antique Lady. I remember the home made pizzas my momma used to make, and they were delicious. From the bought ones, i like the European pizza from Pizza Hut, because even if it's pretty expensive, it's a good meal for both of us( about 10-10.50$ for a 2 person dinner).

Interesting discussion! Yes, I remember every details of it. Pizza wasn't popular in my town back then, so my family and I went to another bigger town to buy it lol. When I first looked at the menu I was shocked because it was relatively expensive, but we ordered it anyway :p I was 16 that time but felt like a little kid lol. The taste was rather strange to us, but the funny thing is, we are pizza addicts now lol
