I have a grandson who has ADHD since small. We stopped the medication because of the side effects. He complained of chest pain but also he had suicidal and homocidal thoughts. Now he is 14 years old and he gets angry very easily, he is very disrespectful to everyone in the house. When he gets angry he opens his mouth and provokes everyone without any respect. He is having problems in school for the same reason and is getting aggressive. We don't know what to do. We fear for his own life since he knows how to provoke people to the limit. Any suggestion?

Please, Seastar, find him a really good therapist. I've seen near-miracles done among my students when the therapist is really excellent. Your local medical association may be able to suggest the right person, even if it takes trying a few. Reactions to the medications are common

are there any other medications that he can take? i am pretty sure there has to be some therapy for him to control his outbursts and to put that extra energy that he has to some good use. maybe if he used tha energy for something else he would stop be so disrespectful i hope i gave you a good idea.. good luck happy mylotting maria s,
