I have a male friend who is currently stationed at Ft.Hood. I knew he was on leave but didn't know how long. My friend recently got done with basic Training and was visiting his family just before the shootings happen! I did not know at first if he was back at Fort Hood when this all happen but luckliy he was atill visiting family and friends when this happen! Thank goodness he is a Facebook friend and he let all his friends know where he was! I can't imagine what the families of the soldiers who were killed in that shooting are going through! I hope something like this never happens again!

Its really sad when soldiers have to sacrifice their lives when they go to war, but its a real shame when they are murdered in their own country for no reason.

Yes it is sad to when soldiers have to sacrifice their lives for wars but it really is tragic when they are murder like those at Ft.Hood! I know one person I work with who's son is currently over there on his second tour of duty. I also have a friend who's brother is over there and had to go over there from his station in Japan! Not good situations!

I agree...I hope nothing like that never happens again either. Your friend was very lucky and this is just another example of how important social networking sites like facebook and myspace can be. One of the soldiers who were injured is from Florida and some organization paid for his mom to fly to Texas to be with him. She was actually talking to him on the phone when the shooting started and had no idea for a period of time whether he survived or not.

That is good that he was not there. I too am glad that my brother was not there either in ft hood. Because he left for an assignment I suppose and he really can never tell us where he goes. So I was a bit concerned, hoping that he was not there. Thankfully he was not. Those families who have lost their loved ones they have been in my prayers. I can never imagine, how they must be feeling after losing their loved ones and it must definitely be hard for them, because they're loved one is no longer here. And they got killed and even worse on American soil.

Good for him, but I still feel bad for all those other guys.
