This will be the first time I have ever had to make Thanksgiving dinner for the family. im pretty good with the simple stuff, mashed potatos, yams, green bean casserol, etc. But im soo lost on how to cook a turkey. i have been viewing a few youtube videos and looking at some recipes but not sure if I can pull this off. If yu have any tips please feel free to share them with me. Thanks!

I wrote an article a couple of years ago that will tell you every thing you need to know about cooking a turkey in an oven. It also tells you how long to defrost, how long to cook and how much turkey you will need for how many people. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/345101/how_to_cook_a_turkey.html?cat=6 In recent years though we purchased large turkey roaster it cooks the turkey perfectly every time.

I have never cooked a turkey myself as I'm not keen on the taste however from what I have seen from various cooking shows, it's pretty much the same as any other roast by roasting it for 30 mins per 500g/1lb in a moderate oven/180C - not sure on the farenheit conversion...you may also want to check out the recipe loves website that I introduced to you earlier in the year as they may just have what you're looking for. I hope this helps you.
