Sachin completed 20 years in Internation cricket............ and it was discussed from a week before the day and still being discussed. Dravid today played a brilliant knock (his best knock yet in my opinion except for the century he made in england on a land mine pitch)and no one even appreciates it here? I think Dravid had always had to live in Sachin's shadow. HIs stats may not be as brilliant as Sachin but I think his contributions have produced more positive results for india than Sachin's. Sachin got a brilliant ball today and there is no shame in getting out to such delivery. The way Dravid played today was pleasing to the eyes as much as to the mind. From the precarious position of 32/4 One could imagine the value of the 177 runs Dravid scored to get India to the strong position of 385/6. I should not forget tomention the big hands played by Yuvi and Mahi. Having said all this I would Like to ask " In tests whose innings have been more contributing to Indian victories-Sachin or DraviD?"

I agree with you, Dravid has stood firm quite a few times when all other wickets have been tumbling. He has always been a low profile guy and has mostly been overshadowed by others. A prime example is the fantastic test match in Kolkata which India won after following on against Australia. Everybody talked of Laxman's double hundred but the fact that Dravid kept him company and egged him on from the other end and scored a superb century in the process was largely ignored. Dravid has been the mainstay of India's batting for a long long time and most of us take his performance for granted and refuse to make a hue and cry about it.
