Sachin has told Mumbai is not only limited to Marathi people, It is common for all Indians.
I Think Sachin is right in his command because he is not only playing for marathi he is playing for the whole nation.
He is an Indian Still he is from Mumbai, If he Shines it is proud of our nation.
Then How a metroplitan from India could be limited to marathi people.
Claps to Sachin a real (Hero)Indian Citizen in life as well as his career(Cricket)
Wishes to continue his achievements.

Maharashtra is a part of india..so it belongs to everyone from india.But these politicians are trying to get publicity by choosing the wrong person!
If marathas say that they fought hard for their freedom,then people from all other states will have the same thing to say about themselves.SO they should stop trying to divide the country.Hats off to sachin who said,"i am an Indian first".

Sachin has done what is his moral responsibility as an indian citizen.He has given a statement that will be pro unity for a nation divided by so many factors. I think regionalism is the biggest threat to the unity of the country after religionism. And a statement coming from such a big celebrity does hold a lot of importance for the common public.
I appreciate the gesture shown by Sachin in piblic statement that Mumbai belongs to the nation. What people who critisize this comment dont realize that though mumbai has contributed a lot to the development of the whole nation and the state of maharashtra people from all over the country have contributed to the growth of Mumbai then may it be a parsi businessman, a marwadi baniya, a south india accountant or a oriya mazdoor.
Mumbai is as much a part of India as New delhi or Amritsar.
