In my country, having an air conditioned house means you are rich, but in my own opinion, having a well planned house that doesn't need aircondition and still has cool environment, means you are rich because you hired a good architect hehehe. I prefer natural ventilation, nothing feels better than the natural ones.

That is so true.. here, when your house has centralized airconditioning, then you are really rich.. but I too would say, that i prefer natural ventilation that aircounditioned rooms.. I like the cool breeze better than the air coming from an airconditioner... I live at the 20th floor in a condo in the city, and the best thing about this is that, the ventilation is amazing. hehehe. we seldom use our electric fans, specially now that it's the ber months..

Sometimes it is.. I think one time, the wind managed to knock down one of the vases in our apartment ( which unfortunately is not ours. tsk.tsk.).. Anyway, I love the breeze, specially in the morning.. it's really something that I love in living in an apartment.

I haven't tried to open a window from high floors, as an architecture student, I think the air would really be strong there, especially if the door is open because the wind will flow, is it strong?

Since I am living in the city, I prefer air conditions. Natural ventilation is not really working since all I get is pollution. But definitely, I will choosethe natural way especially when I am in the province or rural areas. Natural air is just fresh and soothing.

Hello kafueenu this is checkmail and would prefer to stay int he house witht he natural ventilation as in mine native villages houses.Yeah currently am int he city where we require badly the need for an A/C but due to its high cost and maintenance, have to settle for ceiling fans. But hey in our native places we don't have to worry about getting cool as its really cold temperature there and all natural ventilation. So am thinking of preparing an house with natural ventilation.

I prefer having my house air conditioned because being in a tropical country, there really isn't much natural ventilation here especially if you are living in the city. It really depends on the environment. If I am living in a condominium, It is perfectly understandable that my place is air conditioned but if my house is in a vast open space in the province, I would probably have my house naturally ventilated.

It is also very good for the lungs hehe, plus if you often have chills like me, air condition won't do.

I think we live in the same country, that with an AC in you homes denotes that you are rich. Not to brag, our house has an AC, but it does not mean we are rich, we just need the AC because of the climate we have here. Although, having an AC is expensive, that you have to have high maintainance of the AC and pay a higher electric bill with an AC.. I do not believe that having an AC means you are rich.
