Why have you added this to your interest?Do you really think you are a thinke or you just found one topic here of interest and posted on it and following the post you added this interest to yours? And if you really think you are a thinker then please explain why you think you are a thinker nd whom do you consider to not be a thinker?

I added this to my interests just after I signed up for Mylot, when I was selecting my interests. I am a thinker because I think too much and I over-analyze everything. I am constantly learning. I consider people who don't choose their words carefully to not be thinkers.

I like your definition of a "non-thinker". I would also include people who act in foolish ways; they appear to have no regard for or even awareness of consequences.

Honestly, I don't know that thinker is an interest. I just came across it when i saw a discussion in this topic that interested me. If you will notice, the system will give you an option if you want to include it in one of your interests after you post a response. So I added it as one of my interest. And to answer your question, each and every one thinks in his own way. A definition of a thinker as an interest in mylot is relative in a sense that what i think is different from other people think, it doesn't mean also that the other interests does not involve thinking. Cheers!

lol I don't know who I would consider to "not" be a thinker. Speaking for myself only, I consider myself a thinker for a few reasons. I'm one of those introverted types that lives in their own head. And since I work as a writer, this is the great enabler that leaves me constantly in my head throughout most of the week. I find that I rarely speak; most of my expression comes through typing it out. And unlike with speaking, the written word seems to be a little more well thought out than its spoken counterpart. There are a lot of pistons firing in the ol' grey matter when you write. As far as adding it as an interest: I try to remember to add every interest to my canon if I respond to a discussion. My hope is that there will be more response-worthy discussions in the future -- like this one.

Uh-oh a "Why" question! I believe anyone who searches for the asnwer to a "why?" is a thinker. We are all thinkers in one way or another, just that some of us think or ponder on a grander scale than others. I am constantly coming up with "why" questions and some have already been answered by others, I added this interest to expand the answers of "why?" which expands my learning, which expands my thirst for knowledge, which expands my questions of "why, which makes me think. : )

Hi poona_m, Good question! Let's look at the definition of thinker: First, a thinker is a person who thinks seriously, and often writes about important things, such as philosophy or science; second, a thinker is a person who thinks in a particular way, so we have clear thinker, quick thinker and creative thinker and so on. According to the above definition, we can't easily claim ourselves as thinkers. However, we do think and we have to think while living. Some people are interested in asking why but it doesn't show enough evidences that they are thinkers. Someone who often like to think about things, we still can't say that they are thinkers. Consequently, I am not a thinker. I am the one who like to think and curious about many things. I can say that I am a good learner as I am eager to do so. Are you a thinker, then? Please think about it!!! ha ha ha ..... Happy Wednesday! agonyaunt69 (2:15am Wednesday 25 Nov 2009 Hong Kong time)

I think I'm a thinker because I think. I think those people who react first could be called nonthinkers. I added this to my interest in the hope that there might be some good conversations. So far I have been less than enthused.

I added as I am a thinker and that is unexpected in my country. Everyone who knows about ins and outs, right and wrong is a thinker. And those who careless are not the thinkers or may be the circumstances dont let them to.

I am a thinker. I like to think out possibilities to many situations. I also think about how to make the most about any and every moment as well as how to better my life for myself.
