Hey everyone. i can remember my grandma telling to always drink milk because it is the secret to having a clear smooth skin. It is indeed true. But now that I am not so young anymore, mmilk makes me fat already. :(. But it still relieves my skin problems. So whenever my skin gets really bad, I still find milk as the best solution. :). Can you remember anything that your grandma, or grandaunt, or your mom has taught you? Thanks to mylot, I get so many tips here.

Hey Doreen. I have also been told that been milk is better in some ways. And I like the taste of it. Hi Hatley. I think bean milk is Soya milk. It is pretty tasty. It's like vegetarian milk. Which reminds me that I can drink it without getting fat. Hmmmm.... I'll buy in a while.

My mom tells me not to wash my face after spending long hours of reading or computer surfing because it's bad for our eyes. drinking milk is great too! do you know that some uses it for bathing...kinda expensive but, some says it really nourishes the skin.

Oh no Dani, I never thought of this before. I often wash my face after reading or between times that I read or surf in the computer to keep me awake. I should really not do it anymore. Thanks for this. When I get rich, I'll try bathing in milk. Whoa.... :)

milfea my mom taught me to love fruits and vegetables and that has stood me in good stead all my long life. I like most any 'kind of vegetable and fruit. my mom was right, veggies and fruit are so good for you that I cannot understand people who say they hate vegetables and never eat them. milfea drink skim or one percent milk and it will not make you fat at all. okay?

Thanks Hatley. Aside from the Soya milk that I'm planning to buy, I'll have fruits too. It doesn't just make us healthy but it is also very refreshing. :). Thanks for this. :)

My mom would always tell me to moisturize. Now, I do not like the feeling of leaving home without putting on facial moisturizer, with or without makeup. I use the anti-aging with sunblock moisturizer and I agree with my mom that it really helps make skin glow. Have a nice day!

My grandma taught me spinning when I'm younger, and she taught me how to be a good man, and save our rice and money for our life. She often say the story to me.I learned much from her. I respect and love her very much.

Hi milfea! Nice discussion. It reminds me of my late granny. I remember my grandma telling before me not to take a bath if you have your menstruation. That would be for 3 days or more than that. Because it will cause you bad omen, as what they believe. She also said that if you want to have a healthy hair, you need to wash your hair with coconut by chewing the white part and put on your hair. This serves as hot oil. Believe me, i tried it before but I'm having a hard time doing it now since you often can see coconuts in my town unless if you would really go to a wet market. Another things is by scrubbing papaya leaves on your skin to make it soft, and believe me, it works. Its itchy though.

My grandmother always use to say dont skip milk it is very essential for your bones and skin .She would insist on presoaked handful of almonds daily for benefit of my skin. And yes of cource she was very much in favour of Indian Goose berry or commonly known as amla in India. This fruit is beneficial in age related problems ,inflammation and cancer. When i was pregnant she would say that it is very important for healthy fetal brain development. She used to instruct so many things that i can write pages but she is in a condition that i cant help her any way .She is struggling old age !!
