Despite many have been attacking it for centuries past and many have attempted to destroy it in the past and up to now, the bible is still the world's best-selling single-volume book of all time. It is clear that God has preserved it through the ages as proof that it is His Word and He has promised that in the pages of the bible. The bible gives hope to those who are looking for it: "For everything that has written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." (Romans 15:4) What can you say as Christians?

To me, it is clear that people have "preserved" (note the numerous changes, rewritings, translations, etc. - or did you think it was always written in English?) the Bible in order to continue to profit from spamming its message across the void. That, and to uphold ignorance, oppression and superstition around the world.

God's love is indeed unconditional in much the same way a mother loves her child. A mother is always more than willing to supply him everything he needs but he will die in hunger if he refuses to accept her unconditional love.

Whatever you say and whether the people you're thinking have "spammed" the true message of the bible, the bible is still God's Word, whatever translation it might have, the message is clear: God's Word is His loveletter for us and because of His unconditional love He gace us His Incarnate Word (His Son) that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Surely you can't have "unconditional love", if conditions ("whoever believes in him") are, in fact, attached? If I do not accept God, or Jesus, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, then I am not "saved", and ultimately "perish" - yet God loves me "unconditionally", you say?

barbara7321 would say that she respects the bible as well as many other religious books. To me my belief system does not have to be a popular one, but I do find the fact that the bible to be the best selling book a near shock with the way the state the world is in.

It is very clear proof that the bible is God's Word as He has promised to keep watch of it till the end of time. Even if the world is like this, many find comfort in the bible during trying times and hardships as I do.

True, it is a good story book. It is filled with murder, rape, incest, lies, love, promises & every thing one can think of moral or immoral. People just love soap operas and will continue to buy it.

Yea, Bible is the best seller, but Quran is the most read religious book in the world. Christianity is the religion having most followers, But Islam is the religion having most practicing followers. Peace.
