Five Stray cats on my porch

Well I have been feeding the big white blue eyed male cat everyday. I put food out for him and water. Today he brought a bunch of friends with him. Their was a few kittens and a big black and white cat. My kitty ended up chasing all of them away. I like the strays and will continue to feed them. Do you have any strays?

Here's the problem. I love animals and so does my daughter. We used to get all kinds of strays in our yard and my daughter being how she is she's got to feed them and give them water. But I'm allergic to the animals so she couldn't do it all the time. We had a kitten come right up to our front door and she fed it tuna and gave it some water and played with it for a little while. It would come back for a few days after that it never did copme back. We put food and water out for it still because she wouldn't have it any other way but it never came back. She was so heart broken. She's always wanted a kitten and this one she could play with and feed like her own but couldn't bring in the house and that was fine with her. It took a few days to get her to stop with the food and water and for her to not be so dissappointed.

I am allergic to cats so its hard for me. But if I run out there real quick and feed all of them and run in Im fine. My one cat in the house doesnt bother my allergies that much.

It is very dangerous here for strays so we don't feed them, there are just to many predators around here that love kitty dinner.

It is a kindness that you do. No currently, I haven't seen any strays. But I would probably feed them as you do. Your cat is probably defending what he feels is his territory.

I don't have strays were I live but there have been 5 strays hanging around the stable were I work! Three strays have been regular visitors for the past few years! All males of course! One is a huge black and white tiger. Another is the same color. He has a puffy face and looks like is weraing a ski mask! The other regular is an all black cat! Over the summer I saw a yellow and white tabby. In the past week or so I saw the latest stray! A blackest grey tiger cat! I feed all the cats! The barn cats and the strays! Most of the strays eat when no other cats and humans are around. The newest cat is more brave! He comes in the barn to eat when I'm around and when he is outside I can get within 5 feet of him! It makes me wonder if he was a house cat before or just really curious! This is my stray cat story!

No, we don't have any stray cats around our neighborhood. I guess they get scared away when they see my neighbor's dog. I wonder if they will tell even more of their friends. I hope they have a happy Thanksgiving. Good Luck.

Hello Money. Wow bet that was a shock to see all of them at once on your porch. We have a white and gray one that comes around. Don't know if it is a female or male. We do feed it though kind of nice to have him/her around keeps the mice away I think. We seen one other one hang around for a week or so but it just didn't come back don't know what happened to that one.

I see Casanova off and on, but not as much as before his "girl friend" got caught and fixed and now their children are all fixed... But when I do see him, I have food just inside the door I can grab and put out for him. I'm hoping he'll start coming around again and I can grab and fix him as well.

Nope no strays around here that I am aware of. Though some neighbors like to let their lil dog loose here & there and all they do is look for the other neighbor dogs markings on the block.

I don't have cats and do not want them for pets. I really don't like them because they are not healthy for my little grandchildren. I know they can cause asthma so I never really take care of cats from the start. There are stray cats that did come to our garden in some occasions but I threw them all away. I really don't like them and have no intention of taking care of them.

Wow, that is a wonderful thing you are doing feeding the strays, I hope it doesn't become a nuisance for you. By that I mean that, they are multiplying or accumulating or increases in numbers fast. Will you be able to handle a large number of them? The only strays around here I have seen recently are squirrels. I told my sister the other day that we need to put these squirrels on birth control because they are really multiplying.

I see strays (or outdoor) cats occasionally in my neighborhood. Both of the cats in my household were at one point strays that we took in (Missy and Dainty are their names). It had actually been a situation like what you're having; where they'd be hanging around, and we'd feed them, and eventually we just let them into our homes and accepted them as part of our family. . Nowdays? I rarely see strays and if I do, they usually run away before I can go over and pet them or bring food to them (which is kind of sad!). I like strays too, although mainly I just feel bad for them. It makes me extremely depressed to think of cats being homeless, especially when there are so many people who could take them in (but just don't want to). It's nice what you do for them.
