Better to have large or small interest list for creating discussions?

I think I have up to 30 interests I have picked for making discussions, what do you prefer?

I would prefer a small list but I get so sick of the "add this interest" that I just say yes to everything. That and the "add tags" just drive me nuts! So I have tons of interests, most of which I could not care less about.

thats how i started and i started doing the same thing too. I go back after a month or two and weed out the interests that I havent used over a few times.
