despite his anger in the field and all those controversies, isn't he the best fast bowler playing for india? I know, his economy rates in limited over cricket is a bit disappointing. But he has always been a wicket taking bowler and did that whenever Dhoni wanted one.We saw that in t20 world cup. When talking about Ishant sharma, he was simply unstoppable in the beginning of his career but for about a year his performance is disappointing.Zaheer khan is known for his consistency and better than sreesanth in that aspect. But sreesanth is the most successful wicket taking fast bowler for india

Best is a tricky word. And when it comes to fast bowling there are so many aspects of it that you need to master before you can come anywhere near being the best in it. Sreesanth has many of the aspects that are almost close to ideal. His wrist action is the best among the current lot of fast bowlers all over the world. the seam position throughout the delivery is consistantly steady delivery after delivery. BUt he has lacked focus to make use of this talent as he spreads the ball all over the place and his disappointing economy rate is the proof of it. his temperament too is a little suspect. The quality I believe most necessary in a good effectinve fast bowler is aggression. Sreesanth is naturally aggressive but due to lack of focus he is found to be unable to channelize that aggression in his bowling.he rather vents it out in the anticshe performs on the ground. If he gets the right direction and learns to channelize the aggression in the correct direction he would become close to a complete fast bowler. Rather than saying he is the best fast bowler in india in the last 3 years I would say he is the best potential we have in India as far as Fast Bowling is concerned.

Yes Sreesanth is a good bowler but I don't think we can compare him with Zaheer Khan. Zaheer is the best fast bowler team India have at the moment. Zaheer was not there in the team because of his injuries but we cannot neglect his consistent performance because of this. Yes Sreesanth has done well against Srilanka recently but his performance is not consistent. But the selectors have no option available accept Sreesanth because of out of form Ishant Sharma. So we can say that Sreesanth has made a good come back in Indian Team.

Dear friend, I could see Sreeshanth as one of the player who get emotionally, physically and totally involved in the game. Definitely Sreeshanth is one of the best fast bowlers and could become the best if he is consistent as a good wicket taker. Moreover, sometime Sreeshanth just reminds me of Kapil Dev. But anyhow the last test is won mainly from the contribution of Sreeshanth.

I dont think so. His performance against lanka, I call it as Luck! I call him as one day wonder. where is the consistency?? He can only dance & romance with actress.. Undoubtedly Zaheer is the best bowler followed by Ishant.

sreesanth is not the best fast bowler indian produced in the last three years. there is zaheer khan. even ishant sharma is better but found wanting for form. the performance of sreesanth in the kanpur match was very good. but he has to be consistent and without his antics if he is to develop into a good fast bowler for india.

I don't agree with you in this reagrds. I will not say he is not a good bowler but there are some other good bowlers are played for Indian team in last 3 years. Named as Zaheer,Ishant,RP singh and others. Among them Zaheer is the best bowler. Sreesanth is not at all comparable with him. Also Ishant and RP are very good bowler but right now their form is not good. But I know whenever they willl come back, they will come very strongly like sreesanth...

Well, I accept the fact that, this test match was won only because of sreeshanth. But you cant say he is the best fast bowler India has produced. You have a list of fast bowlers who were looking good at times, but failed miserably during the rest. 1. Munaf patel - Remember he has the best bowling figures of anybody on debut - 7 for 97 2. Lakshmipathy Balaji - The historic tour of pakistan tells all the story. 3. R P singh - His recent performance in australia. Ishant sharma - How can you forget his performance against australia in India and away? The rise and fall of players is common in cricket. Talking about consistency, bowling in a test match is not an easy job, if it was easy why did a paceman like akthar moved out of cricket, why did he leave the ground after bowling 5 overs in an test innings?
