I can't believe people are fighting over the those remote control rodents, Zhu Zhu hamster toys. This reminds me of the Furby craze a few years ago. They are probably just as cheaply made as Furby. A cheap piece of junk, a piece of plastic with glued on fur, that will burn up if it's played with too much. My sister in law had a furby and when she played with it, smoke began coming out of it. The company was going to charge her fifty dollars to fix it, but she screamed and squalled and they did it for free. I think she paid 60 dollars for it. Somebody is making a lot of money off of this crap, you can bet. But it certainly isn't worth fighting over in a store with someone else. Jeez Lousie!4 responses

I sooo remember Furbys, lol. They were popular when I was in the third grade- I really really wanted one, but my mom wouldn;t get me one- she said they'd be out of style by the time we could get one.
And I saw them talk about those Zhu Zhu things on Nightline a couple days ago. I also think they'll just ba a fad toy like Furby.

wow! well, here in canada, i have to say that i have not seen them on the shelves, just on tv (and on the news for that matter!) i dont think they are here. i think they are sort of cute, but you are probably right in saying that they are probably pretty cheaply made.

There have been so many fads over the years! Pet Rocks-which are making a comeback-Simba the Lion, trolls (my favorite) and other things that people fought over. Remember those ugly Cabbage Patch dolls?! You won't find me fighting over anything like that, it's so funny to hear about it.
