iPhone or Blackberry?

Which would you rather have: an iPhone or a Blackberry cell phone? I know this is probably the most unoriginal question in the world, and probably has been asked several times in the past, but I'm just curious as to what you think. Looks and features-wise, which would you choose, given the choice? I would definitely say iPhone. There seem to be so many more apps and features than BlackBerrys. I originally wanted one, before I got my Blackberry curve, but I couldn't afford it! That seems to be one of the few downsides. Anyway, which is your choice, and why?

Having used both, or all 3 if you wanna include both 2g when the iphone first came out & 3g iphone, I actually prefer blackberries. Most of the apps on I-phones, I pretty much found useless. First, I didn't need any & all music apps simply because I have ipod. No need to carry 2 different things for music. Second, I have gps built into the car. I don't need to be looking at the phone when I'm driving for a direction. Third, all them games, are you serious? Forth, do we really need an app for finding restaurants? If I do, I'll look it up on internet either on my laptop or on my blackberry. Also, I don't need to look up stuff while I'm having a conversation on the phone. And how fast is fast enough for ya? I work for a company that has contract with embassy. I work as a translator part time. I do a lot of on line research & emailing & calling. Blackberry never slowed me down to the point where I said to myself, "I need iphone." I could go on about all the things I don't need or things that are useless to me on iphone but I won't. Blackberry seemed to have served me very well. Oh, and I hate touchscreen phones anyway.

I would have to say neither. I don't particurally like apple for one thing and I like touch screans or flip phones. So blackbery doesn't offer either. Well now they do since verision got the blackbery touch and T-mobile got the blackbery flip. But I have a different kind of smart phone that serves me well.

As you have rightly mentioned, this has been asked a number of times. One cannot compare black berry with IPhone. Both are different. Black berry is for people who are always on the move, and so they can receive their email fast and without any delay. Whereas Iphone is for entire different set of people.Basically Blackberry is for executive types, and Iphone is for all others.

I know it's an unoriginal question. But I tried to vamp it up a little bit by explaining my story behind it.

I will have to say Blackberry...I just got the Curve 8320 and I am really liking it. Before getting the Curve I had the T-Mobile Wing which is a touch screen andsliding QWERTY keyboard. I just grew tired with it and wanted something different. To me Blackberry has enough Apps for me. I do not care much for iPhone but thats just my opinion...the price of the iPhone is too much.

My advice is bear with BlackBerry, the apps are behind iPhone I agree, but BlackBerry is a much better phone than iPhone. Unless you really like the touch screen, I would stay away from the Storm, the lack of a QWERTY keyboard puts it way back. I'm a software developer that works with mobile phones, we develop applications for BlackBerry and iPhone, so I have intimate knowledge of both. I use a BlackBerry Curve 8310 myself.

P.s. If you find some applications missing for BlackBerry, let me know and I'll talk to some fellow developers, maybe somebody feels like writing one (maybe even me).

The only one that I can really think that it lacks is a GPS. Maybe there IS a GPS app for my blackberry and I just don't know how to get it/buy it, but I don't know. I think I have the Curve 8350 or 8950 (not really sure..) but I have absolutely no compalints except for that GPS thing! lol.

simples I-Phone is simply the best phone I have ever had, I have had the blackberry bold and storm and have always gone back to the I-Phone. I have all sorts of app's on it from fun ones to really useful app's and the touch screen is just so responsive. It's your choice but for me untill something better than the i-phone comes out then I'll be sticking to my i-phone top phone and superb app's.

I love the iPhone. They are hip and cool and I love the apps. The only downside to having a iPhone is you need to the plan to support it. What's the point of getting a iphone if you don't have internet?

For me its blackberry because the touch type may sometime cause some problem so to be on the safe side i prefer for blackberry. But i too like iphone but my restiction is because of its touch type. Otherwise i would have preferd iphone. But for me both are the fantastic.

I would pick the iPhone. But I prefer the HTC. iPhone nowadays has way more additional features than the BB, however you have to pay for them. If you have to do mailing and working, keep it up with the BB, it was designed for corporate issues.

I have had the Blackberry Curve, and it was okay as Blackberry's go, but I would say if I had my choice, I would say the Iphone. I am not with AT&T, so I can't have the Iphone, as they are the only ones that carry the Iphone for now, but hopefully, all carriers will have the Iphone. I am thinking about changing my carrier once my contract is up with Verizon, but I have to wait, as I just renewed it in August so I have to wait 2 years, as I am not about to pay the $400 cancellation fee, that is for sure. Anyway, I wold consider the Iphone over the Blackberry, even though my son has the Blackberry Storm which is a very nice phone. He has a business so he uses it for that as well, as he gets his email on it too. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi there. If anyone of these products were handed out for free, I would take either. But, what if both of these items were handed out for free, and you had to choose only one! Well, then I would take the iPhone. Apple products are the cult electronic items of the decade. The past decade has seen the ipod, the imacs, etc and iPhone is the new gizmo gadget. I would take the iPhone also on terms of the great looks and the touch screen. I find that the buttons on the Blackberry are too small.
