By hearing the word India or Indains what comes in to your mind

it would be definitely the picture of gandhiji or nehruji that comes in our mind when we hear the word India or indians.sometimes even the picture of our national flag evolves in our mind when it comes to hearing India.also Taj Mahal comes to my mind when i hear the word.

I am an Indian. I guess the first thing that comes to my mind is the Indian flag. I have never given it a thought until now. Since there are many religions, languages, and traditions in India, it is hard to imagine one thing that would represent the country. For foreigners I guess the image of Gandhi might come up first or Sikhs in their traditional dress.
