Today my mom had an appointment with this doctor that specializes in balance and dizziness in hopes he can help her. This doctor is 3 hours away from us but mom is more than willing to travel that far if it'll help her. Believe me, I'm crossing my fingers and praying hard that he can because she had another bad bad day on Sunday and was dizzy all day long. Gee, what gives?! The doctor wants mom to have an MRI done because he seems to think that mom has brain damage from the stroke. I'm sure there's more but we were interrupted with another call coming in so we said our goodbyes and will talk more about it tomorrow when they get home. Anyway, I had to go up to their house to pick up their two chihuahua's so they could stay overnight with me because both mom and dad are going to stay overnight with mom's cousin who lives in the area that this doctor is in because the drive is too much for mom to do in one day. So hubby and I went up there and decided to do a number of things while they were gone so we could get them done without being interrupted constantly with them calling us, come and look at this, I want to read this to you, did you hear about so and so? on and on and on! lol Don't get me wrong, I love talking to them but golly day! Let me finish the work first so I can sit down and enjoy a few minutes with you but I haven't voiced that because it may hurt their feelings so I just deal with it. So today we cleaned all three of their bathrooms, cleaned out the fish tank, dusted, vacuumed, scrubbed the floors, washed all the scatter rugs and hung them out to dry. Then we got all of their Christmas decorations including the tree out of the storage building and put it all in one of the spare bedrooms so it's there when ever mom is ready to decorate and doesn't have to go out to the storage building for anything. I'd feel terrible if she fell and hurt herself so that's why we did it. And we addressed all of her Christmas cards, put the stamps on them and sealed them so they're all ready to be sent out. We fed her cats and then left with their little dogs. We get home, fed our furry friends and finally sit down ourselves for a bite to eat. Gee Mee Moses!! I'm dogged butt tired!! At least it's all done now and both mom and dad will be right happy to come home to a clean house and all of their Christmas cards all ready to be sent out. Have you ever had a busy day like this? Does it wear you out? I know I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight!

LOL, take a breath sweets. Read my discussion about septmotherhood and you'll find out what I've been up to. I've read yours, but responded to this one as it's late and I'm very tired. I'll try to stay in better touch. Love you too.

It sounds like you had a very busy day. I hope the doctor can help your mom. I wish I could get all those things done.

Almost all of my days are like that. I always have a ton of things to do daily and it wears me out also. I never get enough sleep either. that is the hardest part of it. It wears me out too.

I hate busy days, just lately monday to fridays are really hectic. I have three school age children, two go full time and one goes 9 - 11.30am. So in a morning I walk all three to school, then I go home start on my cleaning then I go back to school to pick my daughter up and we walk back home I get her changed and give her dinner and then at 3pm we walk back down to school to pick the boys up and walk back home again! My days go so fast and I have so much to do and just cannot get it done because I have to work everything around school. By about thursday I am absolutely shattered!

I hope my daughter is like you when she becomes an adult! Your parents are so fortunate that you and your husband do so many nice things for them. They will be so pleasantly surprised when they return home to a spotless house and Christmas cards all ready to go! You would have slept well this night because not only you were physically exhausted but you would have felt so good about yourself for helping your parents out yet again; you’re a good person Cats! Hope you get lots of good Karma!

Hey Mary Beth, I'm exhausted reading this post!! But I think it is wonderful that not only you but your hubby helps you do all this. I have a funny feeling that you do most all the cleaning but I could be wrong. The important thing is that you take very good care of your Parents. The really special part is that you do all those little things that no one would expect, like the Christmas card. You are a precious daughter and they know it. Love Ya Leenie
