Is QWERTY easier or harder, do you think?

Do you think using QWERTY to type (or text) is easier or harder than using a standard ABC phone? (Where you have the options of using ABC or t9 to text with). I almost want to say, in my opinion, the regular phones are much easier. I feel this way mainly because I'm used to them - and I just recently got a new phone with a QWERTY keyboard and I can't seem to find a way to be really efficient with it, like I used to be with my old phone. The only way I can text at a moderate speed is if I use both hands to do it, rather than the one I could use with my old phone. I guess I'm still in adjustment mode. What about you? What do you think? Has QWERTY been easier for you, or do you prefer the regular ABC/T9 phones?

I think it is much easier, as I can type each letter or number once instead of having to hit a key more than once to get the letter or number I am looking for. I haven't done texting lately, uut when I do, I use the qwerty keyboard. Now I do have a touch screen on my phone, and it has a keyboard in the landscape mode and I have used it from time to time, but I usually end up tapping the wrong key, so I would much rather use the qwerty keyboard. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Eh, for me i like it but i do use both of my hands. Before i have used the ABC and it was a bit more difficult. Keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it!

Hi. I prefer to use cellphones with QWERTY keypads just like my laptop keyboard. I work on my laptop keyboard almost 12 to 16 hours a day. The use of cellphone with similar type of keypads will not require me to adjust much when typing messages.

I think you have just bought a new cellphone.I am using QWERTY from months. You will get used to of it soon and find that QWERTY is much easy and faster than alphanumeric keypads.what else you want if you can write as you write with keyboards on computers?Well just wait for sometime you 'll surely like it

i prefer the regular abc/t9 phones as it easier to press i do not need to press different keys for a different alphabet like the qwert keyboard but the only downside which it is okay for me is you have to decide which word you would like to display after typing in the alphabets i agree with you that i only need one hand while texting with t9

i feel qwerty is not for me. as in a cellphone we donot have that much space to place both hands freely as it is there in computer QWERTY keyboard

We just recently got cell phones after about 4 years of not having them. Our old ones we had the regular abc phones. I had got to be pretty fast at typing on them. Our new phones have Qwerty keyboards. I had played with my sisters before we got them and had trouble using the Qwerty keyboard because I wasn't used to it. But then once we got our phones I got used to it pretty fast. I spend so much time on the computer anymore that I took to the Qwerty board pretty fast. It does require two hands though. Now when i try to send a text on an abc phone i struggle with it lol. I don't think either is really easier, I think you just have to get used to it.

Even if I`m completely used to QWERTY keyboards in the computer, in a phone I can`t find them useful. I need to use both hands and all the fingers, and you can`t do that in a phone, so I find more comfortable ABC type phones. To use only one finger to write they feel easier.

A qwerty is a lot faster and better to use then the standard digital alphanumeric that older phones have. Some still do. Though it can be faster especially if you're the type that has had a lot of experance with qwerty keyboards. the switch to the smaller one takes some getting used to of course, but I found that its not to hard being that I'm blind even though I have some sight. I don't have enough to be considered parcially sighted.

I prefer QWERTY keyboards for my cell phones. But then, I feel I am more efficent if I use both hands as opposed to one. We never had a texting plan until shortly before I got my phone with a keyboard so that may have had some impact on it.
