Some people are afraid of being old. They're afraid that they will get lonely, weak or not much useful. Or might be afraid of getting wrinkle in face, also decreasing health condition. I think it's no need to be too much afraid of being old, because it's a natural process anyway. Just make our best in the young age, be prepare for our future and be grateful for whatever we have..

I am not afraid of being old. I am afraid of what I am going to be when I am old. I don't want to be an old hag who get pissed of every thing like a witches. And I don't want to be a forgetful granny which can't do anything else than sitting around watching TV and becomes burden to my family in the future. I am not afraid of being old. My grandmother is almost 70 but she is still active and she is still working and earn her own money for her future. She spend it wisely and she travels everywhere in the world as she always wants it. The last time she got a vacation to Australia to see my cousin and his husband there. She was very happy and she brought me a wallet from there. When I was active playing online game, I met a granny who still ruled the game. I mean it. She was 50's and she played like a pro. She conquered and still playing with the strategy like the young. Everyone in the tribe called her grandma, and she likes it. I think it is interesting to become someone like them when I grow old. I don't mind if I would spend my time by travelling all over the world of conquering the online world. I just want to be happy and still active when I am old.

Hi klaudine. Well, I don't mind spending my time travelling all over the world either, even now before my old age, haha. Anyway, I do agree with you. I think we could learn from them both about living a life as an old age. They do really know how to enjoy life. They might be old at age, but they seems to always feel young inside. They shows us that nothing to be worry about being old, as long as we keep on positive thinking.

I agree. We all are aging everyday. All you can do is to try to enjoy each stage. I know I'm happier now than I was when I was a teen. I assume I'll slow down as I get older but that's ok.

I am not afraid of being old as much as I am afraid of being useless and being a burden on my family...

For the last few years I've been telling folks that I won't be old until I get the last shovel of dirt in my face, because then I won't be able to get away from it. Over the last couple years, tho, my po' ol' body has done its level best to argue me on that point with its assorted aches and pains to remind me that the warrenty is expiring on various things like the joints, the eyes and such.. That's the worst of getting old to me. The brain doesn't seem to understand. From its point of view I'm still 17ish and has no qualms with telling the body to do something..And the body, anymore, says 'You're putting me on! You want what?' But being the stubborn ol' boy that I am, I listen more often to the brain and challenge the body to keep up. It doesn't always, but I challenge anyway..

Yes, I totally agree with you mystone. I'm not afraid of getting old as well. Just feel the time flies so fast lol. Giving birth, getting old, getting sick and passing away is the nature procedure of life, no one can escape, even the most powerful emperors. So just take it easy and accept, enjoy the different things and feelings in each stage of your life, then you'll full of memories when you're really old. lol

I am afraid to being old 'cause when you are old, we will be not able to do any thing or can't help our children. A full tensions is given to our child, so feel like i don't my selves never to be old. So that i am there to help my child in each and every difficult times.

Hi. I would like to age gracefully. And I don't think I'm really afraid of old age. I guess what I'm really afraid of is the fact that old age will remind me that I'll be leaving my family soon.

When I get real old, I'm afraid to become a person who simply exists without any use at all. I would like that my life will reach its full potential, with all missions accomplished. So that when it's time for me to go, I will have the confidence to say that I have done well, ready to face my Creator with a good report of what I have done with the life that He gave me.
