"The Perfect Gift this Christmas....."

Have you noticed that every CD that makes it way onto the TV ads at this time of year is the "Perfect Gift". I daresay that someone somewhere would be happy to receive them but it really irritates me... suddenly everyone has a 'greatest hits' album released....even people I've never heard of or people who've never had a great hit singular never mind plural. Why dont they just come straight out and say "Too lazy to think of anything else? Just buy everyone some crappy CD that happens to be on offer at the supermarket". Nah.... give me the poundshop tat anytime!!

Tell me about it, and its not just that its like all the singers that have gone bankrupt too they always seem to have a greatest hits album at christmas! Its almost like they ae saying, I have run out of money please like me again! haha

I suppose they (or their agents) see it as an opportunity to get back in the public eye - a bit like the celebrity jungle farce but without the witchetty grubs... but equally distatsteful

I'd hate anyone else to do the shopping for me... I like to browse and impulse buy when it comes to Christmas.
