Man U brushed aside West Ham 4-0 with another wonder strike from Gibson. Rooney, Valencia and Scholes scored the remaining three goals. It was a funny match to see three midfielders forming a defensive line-up for Man U. Ryan Giggs was playing the full back, yet United came out with all three points. I think they are now going to have go at Chelsea. Looks like a 2-horse race for the title this season. Cheers! Ram

Gibson is so hot at this moment, it's not just his goals but his overall play too. Looks a lot more mature, though you can tell he hasn't got the best stamina and engine as Fletch does, but his shooting is the REAL thing and we all hope he can improve himself to be one of our regular starters.

I think darron Gibson will be the next Paul Scholes. He has a powerful and accurate shots. There will be a lot of goals for Man. United from the midfielders.

I think that is the exact role for which Sir Alex is grooming him. If he can score something like 10 goals from the midfield every year then he will be a worth replacement for Scholes. Cheers! Ram

I'm sorry I missed this match, but if me not watching the match means Man Utd wins 4-0, it's a small price to pay . I'm glad the Reds won this match - it seemed a difficult one. The Man Village victory against Chelsea keeps the fire burning, and I'm confident the boys have what it takes to challenge this Premiership title.

Man City - Chelsea was a fantastic match. When they said 5 minutes of extra time, the flashback was on Man City - Man U match when Man U scored the winner in the 6th minute of extra time... Cheers! Ram

I like Gibson, but I think he just is another Carrick, not Paul Scholes.

Thanks mate, you just reminded to watch match of the day. I was too so busy and forgot about the match. Sounds like Man Utd were defensive, I don't think I have ever seen that before. However, they seemed to get the job done nevertheless. The past 10 seasons have been two horse races, one of them has always been Man Utd.

They were not defensive. It is just that they did not have their regular defense in place with Vidic falling sick before the match to add to the already existing injuries to the back line. Cheers! Ram

He seems to have a lot of confidence at the moment and that is shown in his recent performances. He could be a great player for us and has shown he has a great striking ability.

Yes, he does have a good striking ability from midfield a la Frank Lampard. Cheers! Ram
