Hello friends ,i live in a country which is completely devoid of snow except for the Northernmost part which has heavy snow in the winter. I have not visited that part nor ever seen or experienced snow ,so i have not, like most of my countrumen experienced the joys of snow. Therefore i do not know what would really happen if i were to be caught in a snow storm. Many of you belong to countries which experience heavy snowfall and some of you might have also been caught unawares in a blizzard. Can you tell me how you felt and what was your experience? Please share.

I remember 31 years ago being caught in a blizzard. I was at work and it was getting so bad outside that they let us go home early. I was taking public transportation back home and the boat and buses were not running well due to the weather. After more then two hours I was climbing up my parents home up a steep hill 3 months pregnant. Walking in thigh deep snow was so hard I wasn't sure I was going to make it up the hill. Needless to say I did but that was one experience I remember vividly. For the most part other snowstorms I have been already home or on my way before it got deep. I love the snow when it first falls and its on each branch of a tree it looks beautiful but once people start walking or driving in it the snow gets ugly looking. You really should try and experience it at least once in your life. Take care.

Unfortunately lelin i live in Mumbai, India where it never snows and so in my lifetime i will lose this opportunity of experiencing snow as i am disabled for life and not in a position to ever leave my house. You are lucky to have escaped in that blizzard 31 years ago.

I'm so sorry that you are not able to experience it at least once in your life time. I have to tell you I have had it in my life for over 50 years and now I hope to move to a warm climate next year where I will never experience it again. I'm ok with that because I really can't stand the cold weather anymore. Take care of yourself and God Bless.

hi veejay, I live in delhi and in winters it gets very cold , the wind is bone chilling and i am always shivering with cold even if i have lots of clothes on . But unfortunately it never snow here. I would love to see snow flakes and would definitely like to play in soft snow but alas not so. I have been to Manali and on Rohtang pass it is always covered with snow but it is rock hard, so cant play in that.

Same like you I am from a country where we have no chance to see snow falling. I have never seen a snowstorm but I have seen fog stopping the air traffic, on road traffic. Once I caught in traffic when fog stopped the cars for at least 1 hour.. It was awful exprience.. Whatever it was great experience...

Madhuvamsi both of us belong to India so we know the conditions here and also know that we would never be caught in a blizzard since it does not snow unless we go to Kashmir or the Himalayas during winter and get caught in a snowstorm there.

I have been caught in a snowstorm. I was a cab driver. I picked up two people. Along the way a snowstorm hit us. It was so bad that I could not see the hood of the car. Until this day, I still do not know how I got the people to their destination. By the grace of God, I guess. I know I did not show to my passengers that I was scared, but I was. We pasted several accidents along the way.

You would be happy if you were really caught in a heavy snow storm or a blizzard. My hometown is neither too cold or too hot around the year.Since we are near the ocean, every year we experience typhoon many times.Sometimes it causes a lot of damages and makes people homeless. We dont have heavy snow.I also expect heavy snow ,so I could enjoy the fun of snow.

We have four distinct seasons where I live, and it snows a little in the winter time. There have only been a couple snow storms in the time I've been here, and in none of them was stuck outside (thankfully). I just started driving this year, so hopefully this winter won't be too bad. w

Well I was caught only ever in one and that was many years ago when I lived in Germany I was out in the Car at the time to and it just started without warning, all cars had to pull over as no one could see where they where going, I had my Son in the Car with me who was a Baby then We where stuck for 5 hours before it was safe to drive again, as soon as I got home it started again, but thank Goodness I was home, the Ex Husband had to stay on the camp that night ( he was Army) I would not like to experience it again when out in the car, if I safe in my House I don't mind lol

I have been caught in many a blizzard and snow storm in my life. I used to travel a lot - just drive across the USA - and many times I have had to stop and stay in a hotel because of the weather and closed roads, etc. I have never been so unlucky as to have been stuck in the car on the side of the road in a storm, as many of my relatives and friends have over the years. Not fun!!! And scary being out there in that weather and trying to get somewhere to stop and hoping there are rooms available, etc etc etc. I LOVE snow, but am very happy to be safe at home during snowstorms!

I lived in Alaska during my school years. Blizzards and snowstorms came with the territory. I guess you could say that I have endured my good share of bad weather conditions over the years.
