I got up yesterday morning and of course turned on the television. I tuned in the Hallmark channel as they were showing "A Christmas Carol". I have grown to love the movie, and this was the one with George C. Scott. Willy climbed on the back of the sofa to watch the movie with me. He has started paying more attention to the television since I am sitting on the sofa working on final projects for school and also having to take it easy because of that darned fractured vertebrae (the cold weather is playing he11 with it!). Willy was enjoying watching the ghost of Christmas Present, until...the ghost started yelling at Scrooge. Suddenly Willy jumped up, jumped down off the back of the sofa, and crawled under my shirt! I peeked down the neck of my shirt to see two huge blue eyes peering back at me and the poor guy was trembling! It took about 20 minutes of soothing talk to get him out of my shirt (boy was it crowded! ) and back to watching the television. Yes, I switched channels. I figured that he didn't need to have the wits scared out of him by the ghost of Christmas Future. But I do wonder if maybe he might have been in Scrooge's position and had the ghosts visit him. No more Christmas Carol movies for that little furry guy! His cat being just can't take it!!!

Awww-poor Willy to get scared like that. Gee, in all the years I've had kitties though none even duck into my shirt like Willy did with you. I can't ever remember any of my cats ever being scared of a movie or show on TV, but I once had a cat, ironically named Willie, who would make a bee-line to the TV when the theme song from that PBS kids show Wishbone went on...he just LOVED chasing the dog..LOL

What a sensitive little soul. I have never had a cat be scared by the TV. Interested, if there were furry little animals and Cat used to chase the weather man's little pointer stick around - back in the days before the computer graphics and he had a little map! (allow me to date myself!) Aww, and I just love those blue Siamese eyes!

That is so humorous. I have never heard of an animal reacting that way before. I have seen them raise their head up, look and the tv, and then just lay back down. But I haven't seen an animal scared of a television show before. LOL That was really nice of you to change the channel for the cat's sake. Not many people would have done that.

Hey Girlfriend!! AAWWW! Your poor kitty got scared? Some shows on TV scare mine, the other night I was watching The War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise and the sounds those crazy machines were making were freaking my cats out I had to turn the sound down and stroke and pet them as that sound was being blasted on TV...crazy awful sound, have you seen that movie? Some animal sounds too sometimes freaks them out but I've never had mine to crawl up in my shirt...ROTFL!! Now that is funny!! Truth be told, you might have had a "visitor" aka Spirit of your own visiting you then....Animals can "see" them you know? My old Momma Cat Minx that passed away earlier this year, she didn't like it when My "spirits" visited me it always freaked her out...and I'd get the biggest kick out of watching her watch them, and then RUN FOR COVER...LOLOL!!!
