Series finale Part 1.

I saw Part 1 of the series finale on Hulu today. I was deeply horrified that they are apparently going to make Monk die at the end of the show. This is good for him because he gets to be with his wife but bad for me because I'll miss him. He was the only fully functional disabled person on network T.V. I always thought that they would make Adrian Monk a character on a made for T.V. movie every couple of years or so so we could all revisit him, see how he was doing, see if he progressed any in dealing with his fears, see if he ever got reinstated, etc. I'm kind of mad at Andy Beckerman for doing this to him. What did you all think of Part 1 of the series finale?
