Man sometimes life just sucks. I have somehow miscalculated and overdrawn my account. I have no idea what I did! I just know that the bank popped me with over 60 bucks!! I am so broke, my broke is broke!! I can't even get a cup of coffee!! Yikes!! What do you do when your account is overdrawn and you don't know how to clean it up?

This has happened to my daughter and her husband. They were withdrawn by no more then 50 bucks however the overdrawn charge of 35 dollars accumulated to almost 300 dollars. I was so upset over this. The banks are loansharks as far as I'm concerned. The only way to clean it up is to pay the money and either be extra careful or close the account and not deal with banks anymore. Good luck to you.

I did the same thing! They won't let you close an overdrawn account! LOL! They keep adding charges every month and I'm broke and on unemployment! I just ignore them! They can sue me if they want to! The problem is they are all in it together and if you try to open an account at anther bank they see the overdraft on the original bank and won;t allow to open an account until you clear it up ! LOL! I quit using banks two years ago and am doing fine with an on line debit card! tdemex

I was being extra careful. I just don't know where I messed up in my calculations yet! I will get paid next week, but it will not be too much. I have heard that when it stays overdrawn they charge you more. That's just not right, if you didn't have the money to fix it you don't have the money to pay more!

Exactly. Thats what gets me so upset about banks. When my daughter and son-in-law had to fork over 300 dollars that killed me. Thats why I try to be extra careful because I don't want the bank to take my money just for their fees.

Without sounding too facetious...don't "spend" your time worrying about it. Why not try one of those Money Marts, Cash Stop, Payday Loans, places? They will give you an advance on your payday wages. I'm not too sure of the percentage rate that they will ask as a fee, but I DO know that it's not that much. Here in Toronto Canada, it's only about 3.3%. Perhaps you might consider it an option at this time. Cheers; cdrxo
