I am just letting everyone know I have not been here much this week, as I have managed to get a mild Dose of Swine Flu, if this is a Mild Dose I hate to have the high dose as this is bad enough
My Friends here know that I suffer with Emphasimia, Copd , and a couple of other Health Problems so it is a bit hard on me
I had the Jab 3 weeks ago and they think it was already in my System and brought out in a mild dose by the Jab
I have been bad for 2 weeks but it was only diagnosed yesterday so I was put straight on my Steroids to help my Lungs deal with it and also another load of Meds on top of what I have to take on a Daily basis
I am actually feeling better today for the first time in 2 weeks, breathing is a bit better, I had no cold Sweats last and managed to sleep 5 hours instead of 2 hours like I have been for the past week
I am doing ok but I did break down last night crying for hours, which was not helping me at all but I felt last Night like giving up, I am sick of the Health Problems but I phoned my sweet Friend in Australia who as always was there for me, calmed me and even though she was busy, took the time to be there for me
I do not wish this on anyone and defiantly not as a full dose if this is a mild Dose I have
I will be here on and of so please bear with me
Oh Gissi wants to know if anyone would like to take over his Nursing Job as he is getting really tired now lol

hi gabs sorry about your health,as you are aware that you have health problems then you must have taken some precautions then you wouldnt have to undergo so much pain and i really pray to god so that you get rid of that and be much healthier.good that you had some friends so you dont have to feel lonely and hope you get well very soon Gabs.

Aww, gabs, I feel for you. I really do! I had a mild case of it myself and it also lasted about two weeks. Try to hang in there, though, it DOES get better! I can empathize with your need to cry. I was there, myself. But, I'm all over it now and back to my old feisty self. Well, okay, my feisty days are pretty much over but I am feeling like doing everything I was doing before that flu hit me, although I am NOW suffering with some kind of digestive tract virus. 
My tummy's been all sorts of upset but, as long as I stay near a toilet (
), I'm good to go. LOL
I'd LOVE to send my girls over to help Gissi out but you'll probably be 100% better by the time they got there. (I'd have to get them passports and they're terrible about having their photos taken... always moving as the camera flashes.)
Just take it easy and don't overdo. Lots of fluids and vitamin C! Dr. Mentalward's orders!

I am just going to reply to this and then back to my bed
I am glad you got over it to, I think now that I have the right Meds I should be ok as I said today is the best I have felt in a week so hopefully I am coming to the end
As for your Toilet Problem.....oh dear that is terrible

The Girls would take a long time to get here I guess but Gissi seemed disappointed they are not coming, he does not often get the chance to have to Ladies staying lol

Oh you poor thing. I worry about my clients getting the swine flu. Many, like you, have underlying health problems and when they get sick, they get sick! Hope you are on the mend soon. Give a big hug to Gissi for being such a good nurse!

Oh Gabs, what’s happening to you…I feel so so sorry for you here as I sit and type this stupid response…I really wish there was some way I could help you but since that’s not possible, pls know that with all your friends and loved ones, I’m here too, wishing you a speedy recovery and good health.
Sometimes crying does help us to breathe easy so its good that you let it flow out of your system and better than anybody else, you yourself know how strong you are and have to be so.

Hi there Sud, well I am getting there slowly I feel better but I am still very tired and weak, but getting there I am so glad this is over I never want to be like that again I am still coughing, Lungs are still hurting and breathing still not to good but the rest is near enough gone
Gissi says Hi and sends his Love to you as well

I guess I did need that cry as I certainly felt I could deal with it after I had the Cry

I am so sorry hon, that you are feeling so badly, I wish I could help in some way but I am here in montreal. I didn't even get the shot. I figured I never leave the house in the winter anyway so why bother. I think I will be out twice this winter, that is two times more than the last 3 years.

I am just so happy Rose that you have managed to find your way going upwards and that your Life has become better
I do go out you see as I go to do shopping, take Gissi out travel to the Hospital and places like that so I might not go out a lot but I do go out

Gaby my dear it is so good to see you here this morning. I was shocked to hear your voice yesterday - so croaky and upset. You were making so many improvements since you've been under the consultant, and now to be hit with swine flu is a real set back. You sound as though you are now picking up a bit, so I'm hoping you'll continue to improve every day - well, every hour of every day.
I sooooooooo wish I could be there to give you a big hug and to totally spoil you even if for just a short time.
Tell my little nephew I'm proud of him for looking after you the way he has. He has been so understanding, but it seems as though he now feels you are better, so he can have a bit of a sleep. Good news for him: he'll find another chapter of his book open tonight - a special chapter. Give him a big tummy rub from me.

Yes I am feeling a bit better today and I had more sleep last Night then what I have been having
I hope this means I am on the road to recovery I really do
It helped talking to you last Night a lot it calmed me and it did me so good to talk to you
You always make time for me no matter what and I love you for that Cloud
I will give Gissi the Tummy rub and he jumped for Joy knowing he has another Chapter tonight
Hmmm what I want to know is how he is managing to read it as I am sure the Battery run out in his Torch

Didn't Gissi tell you? He has a new torch that doesn't need batteries, so it won't go flat. It has a bright light, but it has a little hood over the light so that it doesn't disturb you. He says he ALWAYS remembers to keep the hood at the top.

I hope that you will get well soon and it is remarkable to see you coming out from the pandemic.
You will need to take care of your diet since you have a pre-existing condition. I feel that a lot of people neglect this area of having a balance and proper diet to aid the body in recovering and be healthy.

Since you are recovering, please remember to have meats in your diet, especially fish. They are very good and healthy for recovery.
I suggest that you have fish soup or fish porridge in your diet here.

I know I can Sweetie but I was in an awful Way last Night, it just hit me no warning the Tears just poured and I could not stop
Gissi said can you please send Tom and Baby to give him a Hand with the nursing 
Sweetie I know you are always there for me to just like I am for you when you need me , I do actually feel a bit better so I am hoping that I am getting over it I really am even though the Breathing is still hard but the Steroids are Helping

I am better again today so I think after 2 weeks I am now recovering and I hope I never have to have this again lol it was horrible, as much as I hate taking my Steroids they help every time when they put me on them
Gissi seems happier to lol because Mum is getting better

I can assure Gissi that I won't fail as easily as he thinks I will. My first hubby would use those sweet eyes EVERY time he cheated on me to get me to forgive him. Well, those eyes don't work so well anymore!!! Remind him that Mum comes FIRST & he WILL be a good boy!!! Things will need to be quiet so Mum can get her rest & get to feeling better!!!
I can promise you Gabby that Gissi will be THRILLED when you are back up & on your feet!!! ALL you will here from him is "she's soooo mean Mummy, PLEASE stay well!!!"

I had the swine flu too! I didn't think I would get it because I never get sick, but sure enough, there it was. I had a fever for the first time in years and every time I tried to breathe it hurt my lungs. It was terrible. And I was tired. I've never felt a total body exhaustion like that... It was like I had strained every single muscle in my body, even though all I was doing was lying on the couch and coughing. I guess I shouldn't complain, since people are dying from it and I only had the mild one, but it was still pretty bad.

Sorry I'm so late sweety. I have a lot going on at the moment and I've been a bit worried. I'm so sorry to here your health is deteriorating even further. However your strength and good spirits amaze me. I reckon the little one keeps you on your toes and smiling. I sure do hope you get some relief soon. (((Gabs)))

Sorry to hear you have been bad gabs and I hope you are well on the road to recovery by now, with the help of Gissi and your friends. We have had our fair share of ills these last couple of weeks, we had a really bad tummy bug a couple of weeks ago and then not long after a kind of cold virus that completely wiped my little girl off her feet. Luckily she is ok now but still not 100%. Also the tummy bug is now back in school and going around again so I am hoping that we do not get it again!!!

I hope you are feeling better now. My mom had the swine flu back in the beginging of November but she caught it before it got real bad. She was better in about a week and I am so greatful. Now me I was sick last week with a cold first, than I got the flu which was like a stomach flu and than I got the case of brochitis which I am still taking meds for. I feel almost 100% better and I am so greatful but boy was I sick. I hope none of this on anyone and my hope is when I am done taking the meds I am better than 100% :) Take care and I hope you are feeling better now.

I am sorry you are sick, Gabs. That flu is so dangerous, I am glad your case is a mild one. Without the jab, it might have been much worse.
I got my shot about 3 wks. ago, but I had bronchitis at the time and still have that awful cough, even after meds. I have chronic lung issues, including asthma, so like you, anything that affects the lungs is especially dangerous.
Do take care and do heal quickly!

It sounds like you have COPD to as that is what that is asthma Chronic Bronchitias
which is what I have and I have severe Emphasimia to
But no worries I am getting there, but funny enough my cough is not shifting either since the Jab

Hello, Gabs. Hope you're feeling better now. I also had a 'mild' dose of Swine Flu in August. Like you, I have other health problems. I don't have emphysema, but I do have Lupus, which affects my lungs and bowel. I had the sweats, not being able to sleep, and the depression as I was recovering. I also felt so weak, I couldn't get to the toilet and back without taking a rest halfway. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! (Well, maybe one particular person ...)
I hope, like me, you're a tough old bird, and you'll soon be back to speed, Hopefully with no souvenirs of your Swine Flu. Just to cheer you up, I'll tell you about my friend, who has a new strain of flu they've called Gammon Flu. He did have Swine Flu, but now he's cured! (Please don't throw things at me - I'm a delicate little flower!)
