His Shirt and His Perfume

I am missing my husband so much. He's been away from me and my son for like two weeks now. The company he works for assigned him to work in a far away province and I terribly long for him. My son misses his dad too, I am sure. To fight this sadness, I put his shirt beside me when I sleep at night. I do spray the shirt with his favorite perfume. It makes me somehow feel that he's beside me, that we are sleeping side by side.
Friends, how do you manage your longing for your loved one when he/she is far away? I would love to know the different ways you cope up with it.

oh so sweet , well i am not married but i do have a lover who live far away from me , to some other city and yeah i do the same thing , i have taken his perfume and his some shirts and every night i spray the shirt and wear it and it helps me to calm down and i feel much better after that so will say that whatever you are doing is best way to remind him and feel like he is with you and you are with him..may your hubby come back soon and take care.

I do the same thing! When my boyfriend was away for school for a few months, I would always sleep in his clothes, especially the ones that still had little bits of his cologne still on it. That always comforted me. The only thing that I can suggest is trying to find a time to talk every day on the phone, when you both are available, so at least you can catch up and hear the sound of his voice. That always helped me!

hi! i envy you because you can wear your guy's shirt. i tried doing that too once when he was also away but then his shirt was soooooo big, as in really big for me. my husband is a tall and huge guy and his shirts are really big for my frame. though we are the same when it comes to the scent on the shirt.

Perfume is sensual and so could be regarded as something splendorous. I think that regarding men in this esteem is not good for me. I tend to become bitter if I long for them and then I turn around and stop longing.
