Can people ever REALLY be happy?

People seem to be unhappy no matter what their condition or circumstance. Are we all in a state of arrested development, really just spoiled childen, stomping our collective feet, constantly wanting more and more? What do you think?

Spoiled brats must be punish for their misbehavior. Someone with authority must give them a learning to discipline in life. If we are not taking care about it right now, they could become some kind of criminals when they grow up. Just do the parenting job accordingly and with dignity and when they learn to behave you all will be happy with your life.

I think there are some people that can be happy regardless of their circumstances, and others who will never be happy no matter what their circumstances. It depends what you make of the situations you're in. I consider myself a pretty happy person. Of course there are things I'd like to have that I don't, and I have my share of bad days. However, I have a wonderful husband and kids that make any day a good day. My brother-in-law, on the other hand, is one of those people who seems to never be happy. As long as I've known him (15 years), he has drifted from one job to another, getting bored easily or upset with management, etc. He has also drifted from one girlfriend to another. Sometimes he has long-term relationships, but when that happens, he complains continuously about the girl he's with. When he's single, his only focus is on finding a new girlfriend. He's still pretty young, so maybe we shouldn't give up hope on his happiness yet, but it's hard to imagine a situation he would be happy with for longer than a very short time. Anyway, I definitely think that some people have the potential to be really happy!

Hi! I do think people can be happy, and i mean really happy. I know happiness for me is the simple things. I don't need or want a giant house, i don't need or want a new vehicle every year, and what my neighbor has is great for them. Happiness for me is my family, their health, and love. Just the simple things.
