Hi friends!! I use a Sony Ericsson k750i which has been with me for 3 years now and I still don't have any problems with my cell but now since its become old m thinking of getting a new cellphone most probably a Touch Screen cell phone.M stuck between LG Cookie and Samsung Star and m not able to decide which one to go for.I tried searching for Sony Ericsson but none of its new phones are under my budget:(.My friend uses a Samsung Star and he has recommended me to go for it but when I asked the mobile shop owner who knows me regarding my two choices he recommended LG Cookie and said he has been using that one as well. Both are of the same cost and LG supports motion sensor gaming and MPEG videos which are the said drawbacks in Samsung Star but when i searched on the internet regarding the cellphones most of the people had problems with the LG phone.M totally confused now and don't which cell to opt for:(.Which cellphone according to you would be a better buy??

To be honest with you all my life with cell phones especially the smart phones my all time heart favourite is Sony Ericsson. I have one for the last one year and it still works better then any other. If u go for a touch screen although u didnt mention it but Apple is so far the best. I sae some using Lg and they were praising it too. I think its depends how and what u susues the for phone. if u keep these in mind then the selection will be lot easier.

U r right everybody is crazy about the Apple, but I was told by some users that u need to download this application and that to keep it going which is rather a difficult thing. Like there were some wall papers that I want to have and guess what u can sms, email or send it via blue tooth. How intelligent of the maker of the phone :)

Lg cookkie was considered best in some times, but when Samsung star is introduced, it became one of the closest competitor of samsung star. Samsung star mobile phone is also known as Samsung Tocco lite in some countries. Samsung star is not much stylish as Lg Cokkies, but extra features like extra megapixel left it behin. Camera result is better than LG Cookie . These are almost same phone, but now these days samsung star is considered better than LG Cookie.

Hi!! I guess you haven't seen Samsung Star yet so you are rating LG Cookie as stylish.Samsung Star has a much attractive and a fast interface as compared to LG cookie which is quite sluggish and is dull. Both the cameras are the same, only the video playback of LG is mind blowing as it supports MPEG 4 format as compared to Samsung which still only accepts 3GP format.LG Chocolate is an attractive phone but not LG Cookie if compared with Samsung Star.Anyways thanks for your help and response :).

I also had been contemplating to buy samsung but so far I also am looking for opinions around the net about its pros and cons. I hope that you can decide on which you think meets your needs. I chose Samsung Star with WIFI capability because I am thinking of hooking my cellphone via local WLAN at home and at work. With this I could minimize the cost when accessing the net. I do not think that LG Cookie is not capable of connecting via WLAN which means that you have to connect through WAP which I think cost much more than if you can connect to a Local WLAN.

Hi!! M not interested in accessing Internet through my cellphone as the GPRS functionality in India is very bad and it takes ages for a site to open up be it a 3G enabled cellphone.I just want a basic multimedia cellphone which looks good, plays great music and videos, has a great camera, battery life and has some games for entertainment.M not going for Samsung Star 3G or Wi-Fi as I know m not going to make use of it so there is no point in wasting extra money for those.Do you use Samsung Star cellphone or even you are intending to buy it??

Hi aadi_87! Both phones are good. About the price, I think LG Cookie is cheaper than Samsung star. I own an LG Cooky which is different from the LG Cookie. I has added functionalities like wi-fi, tv and more and it is also slimmer, but I guess its only sold here in my country. Samsung S5233w has wi-fi functionality while LG Cookie has none. If I were to choose between the LG Cookie and Samsung Star, I would choose the Samsung Star, it would be a great value for your money.

Hi!! No both the phones cost the same and the shop keeper even decided to give me a 4 GB card along with LG cookie for just 100Rs more.I don't want Wi-fi or 3G capability in my cellphone as the GPRS functionality in India is very bad and m not into accessing internet via cellphone.I haven't heard of LG Cooky :O,is it really good?Even I have decided now to go for Samsung Star after checking out various forums and user comments regarding both the phones. Thanks for your response and help, have a good day :).

If you can get your hands on a live demo that may be the best bet for you. This way you can play around with the features and ask questions about the specs. Compare and contrasts the features to your needs. Which features do they both have? Which features don't they don't have? What features does one have that the other doesn't? Which will help you more in day to day life? Which is more durable? Questions like this will help you best deside which of the two phones to buy. Remember most phones have a contract of two years so you have to understand it may be that long before you can buy a new one. So it has to last you at least that long.

Hi!! The shopkeeper showed me the demo for both the phones and actually I loved both of them.Samsung has a very good looking interface as compared to LG Cookie but the Cookie has some extra features like motion sensing games and higher video quality. Both cost the same and looked good to me.The only problem is when I surfed the Internet to compare the two phone many of the users were complaining against the bad performance of LG which was contradictory to what the shopkeeper assured me so m just a bit confused.I think I will go for the Samsung Star most probably as my friend has been using it and he strongly recommends it.Thank you for your help, take care :).

Well that is a bit a tricky question to answer. But im my personal opinion I prefer the Samsung Star because it outperforms the LG cookie in a variety of ways. To start off It looks cooler than the LG and it has a larger internal memory than the Cookie. Another factor is that the Star has a better battery life than the LG. But in general, they are the same but you have a choice if you want a cheaper, slimmer one or a fully featured phone to choose. I hope this helps :)

Hi!! Thanks for your response and help, you said it right the Samsung Star outperforms LG in terms of battery life and an attractive and fast interface. The LG cookie supports motion sensing game which according to me is no such big deal as I really this time don't want a gaming cellphone,m strictly warned about it by my parents lol.I guess m going for the Samsung Star finally :).
