Have you ever killed a rat with no more than a board

When I was in Junior High, we had a drought in the area and mice and rats came into town from the fields and woods way outside of town. It was close to an invasion. One kid had a mouse run up his pants leg on the playground and bite him. Our dog caught a mouse and was playing with it. I saw a rat run under the dog house we had that the dog never used. The house had an overhanging roof and I picked up a 2x4 that was near by, lifted the house with one shoulder and swung the 2x4 with the other arm and killed the rat with one swing. Anyone have any unusual rat killing tales?

I don't remember actually how many rats i have killed. If we found rat in our house i was the first to kill him, we made plan and block all his way out and kill him. Rats are not good they spoil everything and not good for infant in house too.

No, not actually. We use cats when there are a lot of rats around, however sometimes the rats are so big that look bigger than the cats themselves. We use rat-traps, too, but I guess that if we have an invasion of the sort you are talking about, we might have deal with it in unusual ways. I've seen a snake killed with a hoe. It was waayy too ugly, Yuck

I've never killed a rat and I never would. I love animals and I think that rats are adorable. I understand why people don't want them in their house. They chew things, eat food, and poop everywhere. But heck so do puppies. Whenever I get a mouse in my house, I just catch it and set it free outside. i see no need and have no desire to harm them.

I haven't had the chance to kill a rat. It's not that I am scared. No, I am not scared of them. I can actually go near them. But I don't kill them brutally, hehe... I just put a sticky paper in a corner so when they step on it, they'll stick to it and I can take them out of the house.

I killed a rat with a stick or something, don't exactly remember. One got into my house and my cats were not doing anything about it.

Well I have not killed a rat but I have killed wild mice but not in an unusual way. But I can tell you of an unusual way of catching a wild mouse. We had wild mice in the house and we were trying to get rid of by using poison and mouse traps. But there was one night I had left a chip packet lying near by my computer. I heard this rustling in the chip packet. I grabbed the chip packet and shut it. I felt the packet and there was something that was warm which moved. I got an old mouse cage (from when I use to keep domestic mice as pets) and put this wild mouse in it. The kids called the wild mouse Chip because it was caught in a chip packet. I kept the mouse alive until after the kids went to bed then I killed it quickly by drowning it in hot water. It was quick and clean.

Guilty here! Of killing a rat. When I was in university, one semester, I lived in rooming house which was unfortunately infested with rats. So, I bought those sticky fly papers and strategically placed them where they would pass. It didn't totally stop them, but it helped catch them because the paper would hinder them from scurrying away. And then let's just say there was fuel and fire involved in disposing the rat after they were caught.

What happened to that kid who got bitten by the mouse and where did he get bitten? That's kind of scary actually,I know mice carry all sorts of diseases and stuff but they are so cute.I used keep mice as pets (not wild one's of course) and they were so cute with that eating with their hands thing. Rats on the other hand though, are scarier but I've never killed one before.Mostly my dad leaves rat poison around the place
