bounce58 responded to a discussion called Who will make the Final? in hockey.
To be honest, I haven't been watching any hockey since the Kings booted out my Canucks. I once heard an athlete (I think it was Reggie Miller when the NY Knicks defeated his Pacers), that you always root for the team that defeated you. So, I think I'd go for a Kings-Rangers finals. I think these 2 biggest markets competing would boost the popularity of the sport.

bounce58 responded to a discussion called How do you cope with working in the heat? in life.
I guess hydration is the key. I think that's the only and the best suggestion for working in hot weather. To make sure that your visitors can cope, you just got to make sure that water is available anytime so they can keep hydrated. Sunblock is a good idea too!

bounce58 responded to a discussion called Have you ever been embarassed on your birthday? in enjoy life.

First off, belated HBD! I've been saved from this embarassment ever since my son was born. He was born on my birthday. He is now at an age where he enjoys being serenaded by servers in restaurant. And having the free ice cream. I get to enjoy the singing (and a little bit of the ice cream), yet I am not the focus of all the fun![em]lol[/em]

bounce58 responded to a discussion called Shocked!!! in people.

This is really scary. I haven't looked up my area, but I would also be paranoid if there as many as these around. I know that we shouldn't look for the worse in people, but as a parent we can't help but feel scared for something like this. Keep your children in your sight always!

bounce58 responded to a discussion called Do you pick people who to tell your deeper thoughts and emotions? in questions & answers.
I think this is a function of age too. I remember being like this when I was young. When it was easy for me to open up and pour my feelings to anyone who would care to listen. Nowadays, people around me, and who are relatively older, are pre-occupied with other things that they've deemed more important. That's why I think we're stuck with people that we knew when we were young, as the people w...

bounce58 responded to a discussion called Do people buy/use "fine china" or real "silverware" anymore?? in eating.
I guess you're right that in older generations, having fine china was a must. I remember having a set, and seeing it in a cabinet while I was growing up. My mom would take it out for special occasions. I think it isn't practical anymore. Specially when you can buy relatively cheaper ones which you can use everyday. And having them 'cheap' also helps make us not get too attached to it.

bounce58 responded to a discussion called It seemed like a good idea at the time .... in life.

I work for a company now which I left in 2006. I worked elsewhere for 5 years, and then came back here last year. This workplace is just a couple of minutes drive from home. I really thought it was a good idea to come back and work closer to home. Unfortunately, since coming back, I've been given more responsibilities (along with the more money, of course). Now, anything that happens a...

bounce58 responded to a discussion called Your Very Own Website in internet.
I have an online store. And my website is still one of those free ones. I keep thinking that I should upgrade into one of those .com ones, but I think that the free site is good for the business for now. If ever my business does pick up, then I wouldn't mind paying for a website that feels a lot more professional. Goodluck with your site.[em]thumbup[/em]

It's more of a pride (chicken) thing. I had serious issues of a superiority complex when I was young, so I felt I didn't need to accept given to me. I know now that it was a bad atttitude.

I don't really mind not having all the attention. As long as that I see my son happy on his birthday, then I already get a little happiness out of it.[em]niceday[/em]

Everybody trips and falls

The other night, I was standing in a parking lot when there was this one kid who was goofing around, and was running, but tripped and fell. I think he was already about 8 or 9 years old, but I was...

Have you ever considered putting up a Therapy Fund?

I know that this 'fund' could be taken to mean for something more serious, but I'd like to discuss about my own 'therapy fund'.

It is an account that I've set aside and hopefully never touch. All...

I just met a person who said that he didn't believe in bad luck or good luck. He said that he makes his own luck.

Personally I thought he was just all talk. I tried to ask him if he makes his own...

I hate being hungry!

I had to do a few errands before going to work today so I didn't get the chance to have breakfast. And then work was so busy that I also didn't get a chance to get any lunch.

By late afternoon, I...

Would you like to have your face frozen forever?
