What is your specialty?

I have loved cooking for several years and have tried a lot of different things. My favorite thing to cook is spaghetti. I know, very original, right? I do it a little different though. I do not like any of the sauces that can be bought in the grocery stores. I make my own sauce. I start by browning some ground beef on the stovetop. Once that is done, I drain the meat and then put it back in a large saucepan and stir in tomato sauce, adding garlic, oregano, parsley, and cilantro and simmering for 10 to 15 minutes. This is my favorite thing to cook. It's simple, but delicious. What is your specialty?

I do chicken enchiladas. Noone EVER complains about them. they are my favorite thing to make and people practically beggggggg me to make them. Ive even been asked for the recipe, but I can't tell them cos i wing it each time. They take about 2 or 3 hours, but they are so amazingly worth it and it makes me happy when my hardwork is gone in under 15 minutes. My husband even goes so far as to drink the enchilada sauce lol.

Sounds pretty good. I can honestly say that I have never had an enchilada of any kind. Crazy huh? I was never that big on Mexican food, although my wife is helping me to appreciate it more and more everyday, because she LOVES it! We don't really cook much Mexican food at home, although we do make tacos with all the fixins every now and then.

I like playing guitar, when i feel sad i can play it, then i can feel better. Sometime i can play my own song, i like writing so i also can express it by music. Especially at night i can play it without light, my heart can feel quiet.

I would have to say my specialty is beef stroganoff. My mom always used to make it. We got the recipe out of the betty crocker cook book. But we tweaked it a little bit. Partially just in the way we cook everything up. I like to add a little extra garlic to it too. It is a family favorite.

That sounds great! I love adding extra garlic to anything possible. Garlic is my favorite! I haven't had beef stroganoff since I was younger. I normally like getting recipes from online or cookbooks and then adding my own special touches to them to make them fit things that I, and my family, like.

Hi scottcoleson, at this time of year I do a huge pan of the sauce like yours but plenty of onions, tomatoes and worcester sauce and no oregano. I use if for lots of different dishes, for mousakkas, lasagne, spagehetti and shepherds pies. Just top or fill with whatever fits each dish. That way there's a regular choice of 4 dishes.

I enjoy making many differnet dishes, but my specialty is homemade cakes and cookies. My best is a homemade lemon angel food cake. The recipe has been passed down for at least three generations. I usually end up with no cake left over before it has even cooled off.

Sweets are always a good thing to know how to make. I have never had lemon angel food cake, but it sounds delicious...I love lemon! And you can never go wrong with cookies. I am not that much into baking, but I have recently been trying my hand at it and I seem to be catching on pretty quickly. I love baking red velvet cakes with cream cheese icing.
