whats more important for you when you listen some music? is the musicians skills? the quality of production? the content of the lyrics? or maybe something you just can't describe?

I judge music by the beat and their voice, and also how emotionally they sing it. also partly the lyrics. if the lyrics are really bad then i don't like the song :P but i see music like a wall of color, like each sound has a color. normally i like the music that has a dark ember color, and i dont like the music that has yellow as their color.

hi sabatino, I always listen to music that has good lyrics and great musicality. Songs that are meaningful that usually tackle about life, love and nationalism are the kind of songs that I enjoyed listening to. Infusion of different music instruments are a great way to make music more beautiful and unique. Sometimes, the music that tells stories touched my heart and the quality of the singer's/vocalist's voice affect the whole song. I like songs that are sang soulfully and has like spirit in it. Something that I listen to over and over again.

I actually base it on how it makes me feel. If it sends shivers down my spine and just makes me feel good then I like the songs. But the lyrics also have to be meaningful to me as well. And now, since I've been going to concerts, I have to say that the presence of the bands also plays a part. If I don't like them then it's dodgey that I'll listen to them more than once.

For me it's mostly something I can't describe. When people ask me what kind of music I like I joke and say "good music." But only half joking. It's just a feeling I get. I can listen to two very similar sounding songs - similar harmonies, similar chord progressions, similar beats - really love one but not get into the other one. It's just that one speaks to me in a louder voice than the other. After I get past that indescribable first moment, it's really a whole package - the singer's voice, the lyrics, the beat... I don't know a lot about music, technically, as far as to talk about techniques that the guitarist uses; the majority of my musical training has been in vocal music, but I know what I like and I am usually pretty good at identifying music that other people should try based on what they already like.

I like music for the lyrics first. I prefer lyrics that are really trying to say something or get some kind of message across. I like my songs profound. :D Then I listen to the music itself. If the music is cool, nice, or gets me dancing, then I'll really like the song. But I listen to all kinds of music. There's no one genre that I'm really loyal to or that I really hate. So it's the contents of the lyrics for me.

Many people hate a certain genre like ones who listen to a lot of metal and rock, they hate hip hop, disco and all that but for me, I listen to a variety of genre but hate none. I judge music by melody, groove and lyrics rather than the technical skills and vocal skills. I agree that production is also a big issue. And there many music that I didn't like the first time I listened to but kept loving it more I listened to it. I mean most of the time, you can't judge music by listening to it once. Go through it for a couple of times.
