What is your passion? Do you know what you want in life?

Do you guys have a passion? Something that you absolutely can't get enough of and love to do? What is it? I think for myself, I don't really have a passion. At least not yet. I haven't been able to figure out what I love to do in life. I mean, I like doing different hobbies here and there but I don't like a certain type of hobby enough to consider a passion. So in a sense, I consider myself directionally challenged in terms of what I want to do in life. How about you guys? Do you know what you want in life? If so, what is it? If not, what are you guys doing to find what it is you want to do?

Well, I LOVE animals. And part of my passion is saving those that need it. But I recently found another passion that I'm going to school for, and hope to do in the future. While thinking about what I wanted to do in life...it finally hit me one day! I want to help kids...so I looked up jobs that would allow me to do that. And I landed on Social Worker. So I'm starting school in January and I'm taking classes that will help me graduate to become a successful Social Worker for Children.

Thank you! :) Even when I graduate and hopefully become a social worker, I'll ALWAYS rescue animals. I could never live without at least one dog and cat in my life. And I always adopt from rescues or shelters. So I can help kids and animals at the same time! :) Yay!

Hi Lily of the Thorns: those are some special passions. Hope you can do this last one and you'll be able to help those children. In my case i have a dog and that's enough for me so i really admire persons that take care of animals, specially those animals that are in real danger of extintion. Thanks for your answer. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care. -Álvaro.

Passion can change from time to time. Especially, passionate people develop varying interests according to age. As a young boy, I was passionate about becoming a pilot and I used to always play with toy aeroplanes, but slowly as I started to grow older, I became passionate about sports, especially cricket. But later it changed to art and even to this day as I am almost 34 now, I am passionate about art. I am passionate about music, and theatre. I am passionate about acting. I just love performing on stage, and theatre is one great passion of mine. So I would say I am passionate about art. But in general, I am passionate about whatever I do, except academics.

I lived for my passions and was never career oriented, and that's the reason I have no job today and am not making money.. Ha ha.. I just lived for my passion for theatre ... I have seen people convert their passions into a source of living, and it's very difficult to do that. I met one such guy who has trekked all the seven highest peaks in the world and he was from Andhra Pradesh India. He also told me that he was living his passion and his parents and relatives never understood him. It's really difficult to live for your passion and never give up even if life demands you to.

That's very true. Passions can change from time to time. I think I've had previous passions before that I realized wouldn't fit me or it wouldn't work out somehow and so I gave up on them. Thank you for sharing =]

I'm pretty interested in making music. I've been playing bass and guitar now for about four years and I've recently started to learn how to program electronic beats and stuff like that. I also like to study chemistry and want to go to college for it to hopefully help to study medicine or help fight against nasty diseases such as HIV or cancer.

Actually I dont know what is my passion because I also dont know what do I really want in my life. I am happy and contented in my life as long as I am healthy, my family is complete, I will become a mommy soon, I have a work and most of all we eat well and complete for the whole day. I guess those things are the most important and I never want to do anything else.

My passion is sleeping =p Being serious now, I do not have a passion either. At one point my passion was books and reading but right now, I am at a point in my life where I do not know what my passion is. I like kids and languages but I don't if I like them enough to call them passions. I'm currently trying to take different classes at school to explore all the different options and to see if one of them could be my passion, but it's hard to do that. Because of all the requirements we have to do, most of my classes end up being required classes and not ones that I can use to explore different subjects. I have a feeling that I'm gonna be one of those people who don't find their true passion until they are older, but it's ok I believe everything will work out for the best =)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've had passions before when I was younger but I had to give them up because either they my parents didn't agree with it, or because I felt it didn't suit me or it wouldn't work out for me well in the future. I'm taking various classes too in order to find what I want to do. I wish you luck on finding your passion =D Thank you for responding =]

Passion for me are the things you love to do and you never see yourself not doing it. My passion is my love for animals. I never stop adopting stray kittens when I see one on the street. I am bothered when I left them much more if I see them sick or hungry. I do not have double thoughts of bringing them home and feeding them myself. For me it is like I was born to do it. That is my purpose. When I win in a lottery part of my winnings will be building a house for them, I will adopt all stray kittens I see on the streets. When it comes to wants, there are so many I want, but this is what I am passionate about.

I am now enjoying myself teaching and training people how to provide first aid and other lifesaving procedures. Well, I never thought it would come to this. In fact the course I have taken in college is quite far from what I am doing now. But when I started teaching people, I realized that this is my passion.

Haha, yes. Everyone has a passion for something. For myself, I have yet to find out what it is that I want to do so I'm currently on a journey to find out what it is. I would like to earn a lot of money so that I can help support my family and do more fun things like go on trips, however I don't consider that as my passion. I have yet to find it, but I know I will one day. Thank you for your response =]

I have a passion, and I know what I want to do with my life (I want to be a lawyer), but I've found that the hardest part for me is the journey in getting there. I can't really afford tuition for school right now, I'm in a financial rut. But I have 1 1/2 years at the University of Minnesota so far... And I just need to get the other 2 1/2 in to graduate with an undergraduate degree in pre-law. I ultimately want to help people. I don't want to get rich, I just want to be happy and contented with my life and financially stable. Those are my ultimate goals!

Wow, it's so awesome that you already know what you want to do! =D I wish you luck on your way to becoming a lawyer ^-^ Yeah, I know what you mean by tuition. Because of the high costs, I chose to go to a local community college instead of a university because I knew my parents wouldn't be able to afford it. I'm saving up money now in order to help my parents pay for college because I'm planning on transferring in the next few years and I know that will cost a lot. Those are some really great goals! =] I know what you mean by just being content and financially stable in life. They're some of my ultimate goals too! I also want to help people with whatever it is I choose to do ^-^ Thank you for your response and good luck on your journey to becoming a lawyer =D

I like this question a lot. I DO have passion...or shall i say passions. My passion is in the performing arts field whether it is theatre/television/dancing/singing. I have MANY many hobbies. I like to cook/make videos/act/dance/sing/writing scripts/drawing. I believe that it is ok that you don't have a passion yet. Everybody has different passions and find out at different times. You just need to try and experiment with many things. For me I've gone through drawing classes to finding out some recipes to cook and then I went on stage. After I went on stage to perform I noticed that I like being on stage. SO even though I liked many things and I tried them..my passion was in the performing arts. BUT that does not mean I don't like the other things I have tried..that just means that I keep those as hobbies and stuff I like to do in my spare time.

I really do have a passion in business. I am a nurse but I don't feel like working in a hospital due to it's ambiance. I am more of a business-minded person but of course, aside from business, i also want to have a stable job. As much as possible, I want to stand up my own lying in and be the nurse-midwife there. I am planning to complete the requirements needed to become a registered midwife as well. I also want to take up a graduate study so that i will be able to have a lot of accomplishments. For now, I still haven't started building up for these dreams but hopefully someday, I will. I am currently working as a private online English tutor for Japanese students and the income I receive every month is quite good enough. I am now starting to save money for my dream business. I am really praying that it will be very successful.

What type of business were you looking into? It's very awesome that you are planning on working in the medical field, business, AND even teaching =D I wish you luck on your passion ^-^ Thank you for sharing =D

I think my passion is helping people. I'm going to school right now double-majoring in Psychology and Chemical dependency. When I graduate I really want to help people either with mental problems and help them improve their coping skills, or help people with any type of addiction.
