Guns and travel?

The recent discussion on guns in restaurants rather suprised me in how many Americans see keeping a gun as a normal thing to do, as I've never lived anywhere where keeping guns is the normal trend. So my question is two fold: If you are American would it worry you to travel to a country where you wouldn't be able to take your gun along as protection? Obviously if you are an American who does not routinely keep a gun would you like to be somewhere without guns being carried as standard? If you are from a country which does not have guns as the norm would you be worried about visiting a country where guns are routinely carried?

I don't own one and I don't think about it. Hey, but what about the Swiss? Aren't they required by law to own one?

Are they. I've never heard that. I'll have to ask Fjaril as he lives practically next door.

Well you've got me there Dawn as I never even imagined that ever Switzerland had a military service. I've certainly never heard of them doing anything.

Mags I was referring to the citizens of Sweeden, not the Vaticans bodyguards.
