hi dear friend, it is totally wrong, infact i would say that it is a myth that one should do anything during those days. those are the days when one should not pick heavy things or weights during gym . otherwise it is very good to exercise. the more you exercise the more it will be for you to get those over. and you should know that it is always good to have a good flow. it clears you from inside. and if you have a good flow then you will not even have any stomach or leg pain or anything. you should move as much as possible. it will help your muscles . and why do you think that you are not well. it is a normal and natural process. every female experiences that. infact if you are not having periods , then you should go and get yourself checked. got it. and come out of your and every other's grandmom.

What i didn't understand is can we really lose weight when were on our periods. Because my mom works out the same when shes on here period but yet she only loses about 1 to 2 pounds. But yes you can do yoga when your on your period. i do swimming when i'm on mine and my friend does dance team when shes on her's. and she has to squat and roll and do all this crazy stuff. She just puts in a tampon. After a while it become comfortable maybe you should try that.

hi dear , we dont loose much on those days. it is normal. but it is true, that when your periods are about to come, your stomach starts bloating and you have an increase in weight every month. and as soon as the periods come and finish, you will see that the extra kilos which you were experiencing before the periods, have gone, vanished. our stomach basically bloats and thats the reason , we feel gain in weight. if one looses weight just in those days , then one will workout in just those days, i mean the females will exercise in periods, not after or before. and loosing will be soo easy for the females. it is not true. if you will not workout at all also, then also you will loose some when you finish the periods, you can check it yourself.

It is true that during periods, yoga and exercises must be avoided, as certain postsures and excercises will cause more bleeding, hence during periods breathing excercises are advisable. In olden days, for three days females who have period never used to come out of their room.

If you are inactive it can make it worse. The more exercise you get the better your body can cope with the monthly changes. Some doctors even suggest that exercise can lessen cramps and PMS. If I lay around and don't do anything I feel like garbage but even if I can't run as much as normal or do anything outside, even the smallest amount of exercise makes a huge difference.

Your grandma is right.A girl is supposed to take full rest during her periods time.If possible she should stay at home for those first three days of bleeding. But now as technology has grown a lot and there are tablets to pacify that abdominal pain, girls are around their work like any other day.But they may not choose to play, exercise or do yoga on that days which would worsen the body nature.

It is usually recommended not exercise or do yoga during periods. As the body is already weak the exercise may be a strain on the health. The yoga master or the master who teaches exercises also says not to practice during periods. But you can always have a good walk. There is no harm in it. You should not do heavy work that can bring about stress and strain on your uterus. Happy mylotting.

Not true..in fact its actually recommended by many health care professionals that we do light exercises when on our period and some actually will help ease things like cramps and back pain etc....the only thing you need to avoid is things like sit-ups, crunches and any exercise or yoga postion that puts you upside etc....Otherwise its just fine to workout lightly and do gentle yoga during your period

Basing upon my experienced when I was still undergoing a training we are encourage to do the same routine when I am having my period so that my body is used to the routine. So when I get used to it I will not have problems at all.
