Recently Colbert bought the US Speedskating Team, the same one going to the olympics. I think this was fine, but there is a large amount of opposition to this move. Is Colbert going too far now?

I don't understand. He's not a conservative radio show host so who would object to his owning a team? I agree, his money, his business.

First, I have to ask why this is in politics? Now, I supose Colbert can buy what ever he wants. It's his money, he is free to spend it as he sees fit. There are no laws against owning a team here that I know of. What is the oposition to this? who is objecting and why? I need more information
