What is it with Saabs?

Just out of curiousity. A lot of rich people come into my job at the dry cleaners, and I often hear them bragging with one another about how they own these Saabs - that are ONLY ten years old! What's up with these cars? From the looks of them, they don't look like anything special (no offense: but they look kind of junky..) and I've never heard of them being worth a lot. Am i wrong? Why do people obsess over these cars?
