A little update on my Trading Journal

Ok... looks like it is time to do little update on my trading activities. Since my last post on my strategy, I have been actively trading on Marketiva. You can view my trading strategy here -- http://gnmdoubletomillion.blogspot.com/2009/12/journal-entry-2009-12-23.html Using the free $5 given, I have managed to grow that account to $12 and am so far happy with my results. And I must admit, using such a small account, growing the fund size is pretty tedious! Earning a few cents each time for the trades that I put in. Last month, the USD was weak which triggered a lot of Long trades on the EUR, GBP and Shorts on the JPY. And this lasted throughout the last month and a good part of the beginning of this month. But beginning of this week, the USD seemed to have gain strength. Part of this reason could be due to the better employment rates and more consumer spending for the celebrations that comes with Christmas. Looking at the charts, the USD may continue to gain strength all the way thru to the new year. At least, that is what I see from the charts. But don't quote me on this. I am after all, still having my training wheels on. I have so far managed to catch most of the trends in the different time periods using the strategy that I posted earlier in this journal. Although I have made many profitable trades, there are also many trades that exited due to whipsaws. Or losses are too big cos I could not put the right amount of SL for the trades I entered. The one thing that I have yet to fine tune is my exit strategy. I am still seeking help in that department. And if anyone can share their exit strategy, it would be greatly appreciated. So far, I have come up with another exit strategy. And that is to take advantage of the Trailing Stop Loss feature that some platform offers. Problem is, I cannot execute this exit strategy on Marketiva. I wonder if there are any similar platforms to Marketiva that I can use that has the Trailing Stop Loss feature that i can use to practice my strategies. Any recommendation is much appreciated.

Yeah.. I am already using Marketiva. But I do not see Paypal being listed as one of its pay processor. Are you sure Paypal is available for Marketiva?

The current strategy I have is already working fine. Just the exit that needs to be fine tuned. And the current platform that I am trading with do not have the feature I need to fine tune it. I am actively seeking another platform that will aid in my quest. I sure hope I can make it in this game of forex!
