Dinesh Karthick finds himself unwanted!!

As referring to the third and the fourth O.D.I. matches which India have won over Srilanka under the captaincy of Virender Sehwag and has clinched the Karbonn Mobile Cup series, Dinesh Karthick was criticized in the third o.d.i. for not giving strike to Sachin Tendulkar to complete his century as it was very much possible for Tendulkar then. And if we see in the Fourth o.d.i. match too, Karthick would have been criticized if would have not hit a four to get to 150 which luckily he did hit and was the winning shot. What do you think as he should do, since he is not allowing other payers to get their benefits of playing longer innings?

acematthews!! i totally agree with you. Dinesh Karthik should'nt do this crap. However both matches were in hand of India. Indian Board have to take some serious action, if this again happens.

Sachin has ample time to score but he was taking singles and giving strike to Kartik! Why not stay not taking singles and scored boundaries and complete century? There were 7 overs left so he could have done that. And if you observe Sachin was out LBW but was turned down by umpire. And on what basis you want to take action against Karthik? Personal milestones are secondary to Team's victory. For this reason India suffered for so long and these days we are having players who don't give such importance to personal milestones than the team victory. That is why India achieved No.1 Test team status and many victories than in the past. When you are close to century then hit boundaries or sixes and reach the required score. Why Sachin was taking singles when 7 overs left and more wickets were in hand? Sachin never blames Karthik only his fans do. Because, they don't see the situation logically. Happy Mylotting!

I am not such a big fan of criticizing players for not letting others reach personal milestones. This is a team game and it is more important to win the game than to worry about other's milestones. If you help some one also reach a personal milestone, so be it, but don't really worry about it while you are playing the game. We as a country are so besotted with personal milestones that we criticize people when they put team first and then cry foul when these same people fail to win the match and then claim that they play for themselves!! I think all this hue and cry about Karthick is rubbish. He has filled in admirably for Dhoni and helped India finish both matches without any hiccups!! Cheers! Ram
