Where would you rather live, in the city or in the countryside? Personally i would rather live in a city because it appeals more to me. More to do more to see and all that sort of stuff =D However i can understand why someone would want to live in the country because everyone likes peace and quiet every now and then. Somewhere to get away from it all. how about you?

the country is quite nice because of the peace and quiet but to get anywhere you have to drive so unless you are a farmer, its not really that practical. i like the city because everything is close by and i can take the bus for free (because of my disability).

I have lived in countryside for a long time and work in a small city. But now I want to have live in big cities. I know it's expensive there but I want to see different lifestyle.

hi, I prefer city as there is more to do and lot of places to visit when got bored which is not there in countryside,Ya there is another thing with we can enjoy in country side is the nature beauty and fresh air but all day you cannt do this. If you need work you have to choose city.

I prefer living in city but I would like to take a day or two off every month and visit my ancestoral native since it is the place where I find it more appealing and definitely nothing can beat the peace of living and serene atmosphere of the country side. But my profession is a city based one and I have to stick into this place. Yes you definitely have a good exposure living in City but at the same time you cant afford to miss the country side experience. Thanks a million for starting the discussion and have a great day. Happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

hi adamc, it is a typical discussion i think. it has been talked about so many times. but i have never replied to this kind of discussion. back to your discussion, i prefer to live in countryside, with fresher air condition, friendly people, i would feel more comfortable living countryside, i do not care about modern buildings in city. and i hate the crowded people in city, and what i can not bear is traffic jam.

In my case i would choose to live in the city because it's more commercialize and accessible to me.But for vacation it is better to go to the countryside.

I like the median, a suburban area. I like aspects of the city, like good shopping and places to eat and being close to friends. But I also really like the serenity of the country and the laid back nature of people that lived there. I would always be comfortable going back and forth I know the benefits and downfalls of both.

Hi there adamc151! I have lived in the city for almost all my life. This is where my parents raised me. I think I am lucky to have the best of both worlds. That is so because my parents are originally from the countryside. That means that if I want to be in the countryside, I always have a place to stay in. And since I can have the best of both worlds, I think I don't need to choose.

I prefer to live in a country.I wished i could have a house deep in the mountain when i was a senior middle school student.I love country as there is quiet and air at there is clear. In city we have to work hurry everyday and also lots people. I expect i could have a calm and happy life needn't lots money.

I would rather be in the city. I have lived in the country and it is too scary for me! At first I liked it but when we moved to the city I thought I would'nt like it but I grew used to it. And now I like it all the stores are close by and don't have to drive 20 miles to get things we need. And I have lived in the city over 10 years now and I have to say I love it! I feel a lot safer with things within reach that are needed. And more things to do.

My choice is a life in the city as well, Adamc151! However, I would like a countryside place of my own that I can escape to whenever I feel the need for some peace & quiet. Ah...the dream...

Hi adamc.i think i would like to chose city.because in countryside, lots of things will be inconvinient and it will be far away from my workplace.if i live in city, then shopping will be easy.in the city the air is not very fresh and you can't enjoy the natual peace.but for me,it's ok if my home is quite and if i want to have a good break, then i can go out for an outing.

Hi, personally i enjoy the city more because living out in the countryside... although it's peaceful and serene... it feels so isolated and there's also lack of infrastructure too.

I like living on the outskirts of a city it's a compromise, because city centres tend to be noisy and crowded whereas in the country with no one as far as the eye can see I like staying for short periods of time but miss the bustle of the city. I like having a little space to have a garden, pets and tranquillity with all the conveniences just a short distance away.

I prefer the country! I was raised outside of the city limits of our town, and slowly the city limits kept changing until we were in the city limits, and there were people all around us! This did not appeal to me, I liked my freedom and my large space! 'More to do, more to see and all that sort of stuff' does not appeal to me!

I really do prefer living in the country to living in the city. The sounds and huslte of being in a city is like ambient stress. I lived in a moderstely sized city and have moved to a very small community. There is almost no traffic, there is a train nearby, but those have slown down since the weather has truned cold so there is virtually no distrubing industrial noise. I never know that it could be as quiet as it is here.

I would prefer living in a city. There is a big place of improvement and many things to enjoy and learn from any places you see and people mingling with. Countryside is good but the trend of technology is not a fast as in city. The lifestyle in this place is much simpler than in city.' Living in a city will give me more experiences like in employment, and such huge amenities that I can go for myself and enjoy.

Definitely city. Although, I'd prefer to live in the suburbs, just outside a major city. I choose city over country because, as you said, there's more to do and see. I'm sure I'd pine for the calm of the countryside(to relax) but I'd really hate feeling bored which is possibility of living far away from the city. Maybe when I'm older, if I ever have kids or something that makes me want things to slow down. I wouldn't mind having a vacation home out in the countryside. I've heard quite a few people are jumping on the "trend" of building there own log cabins as a sort of personal development project.
